Very good 8.0
Great location for the historical sights of Pisa.
The hotel location was excellent and literally a 3 minute walk to the leaning tower of Pisa. The breakfast area was a little crowded and the internet service was not great, particularly in the room. The hotel staff during the day was quite friendly and spoke English well. The late night/early morning desk clerk spoke poor English and was not very friendly. He demanded a city tax at the conclusion of my stay. I was not sure if this was a real tax or not, but it was only 3 Euros and didn't feel it worth arguing about. This clerk did call a taxi to take me to the airport at 4:00 a.m. However, I did not get a reciept at checkout, which I thought was unusual. Overall, the hotel exuded a quaint charm, but seemed a little tired. The bed was very soft and low to the ground, but the room was not uncomfortable and it did have air conditioning. Overall I was pleased with the stay. You really can't beat the location and I felt it good value for the money.

Exceptional 10.0
Great place to stay near all main attractions!
Such a charming atmosphere and perfect location on a small piazza with a view of the Leaning Tower from an open window. Two restaurants directly opposite serving good food. Air conditioning very effective, not necessary all night. Good shower, although the bathroom was a little small, it was clean and functional. All of the staff were really courteous and very helpful.

Great Location...older but quaint/great service
I had read that most people do Pisa as a day trip, but if you really want to have the place to yourself before all the tourists flood it you should stay at least one night. And that is what we did but the lodging was difficult to find. A lot of the hotels in city center were pretty old and run down but I knew that I would want to stay close and walkable to the Leaning Tower. This hotel got mixed reviews so I took a chance and we loved it!! Yes it is older but I would say "quaint" They had a great free breakfast with and are literally 1/2 block from the tower!! It was awesome and we are so glad we stayed the night. Had the Meadow of Miracles to ourselves in the late afternoon evening and booked tickets for first thing in the morning to climb the tower. We were only a handful of people up there and it was beautiful with the bells going off at 10. Pisa was one of our favorite towns so happy we stayed!

The hotel was in such a great location that i could ignore the old worn carpet. Breakfast was mediocre. The room was very small but comfortable. The housekeeping left pop-can sticky ring marks on the table. Staff was so polite. We could see the tower outside the window! Eateries were close, along with the square of miracles so close.

Central location for visiting Leaning Tower, etc.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable and the shower worked well. We even had a Room with a View: the orange roof-tops of the buildings with the Duomo rising above them. At night, they were silhouetted up against the dark sky and it was a sight to behold. I even slept with the blind open so it was the last image I saw before I drifted off to sleep at night and the first image I saw when I woke up in the morning (though the colours were different then). Finally, the hotel is in a very central location: just two minutes away from the Leaning Tower and Pisa's other famous monuments; it is also close to Via Santa Maria where most of the restaurants are located, and there are market stalls nearby where you can buy souvenirs.
