The television in the room was very confusing to use with two remote controls and the free channels available were limited. Shops nearby were limited with no decent restaurants available. The staff at reception were friendly and had good knowledge of the area and helped us which we greately appreciated - so thank you to them. The room was excellent and the staff could not have been more courteous. from front of house to the restaurant and concierge all were extremely respectful and helpful. the hotel and facilities were excellent and it was all very clean and well maintained. However i visited the restaurant 3 times, on the 1st occasison i waited 40 minutes form my breakfast and it did not arrive before i needed to go. the second breakfast was good but again took way longer than it should as the restaurant was not especially busy and most were using the breakfast buffet. On the final occasion we ate just before leaving for the airport. we ordered pizza and nachos, On this occasion the restaurant was empty, it still took 40 minutes, the meals were not brought together, the pizza was passable but the nachos were abysmal and i would not not expect such awaful overprocessed rubbish in a 5 star establishment it the chef cannot prepare this dish properly it should be removed from the menu. I have had a career in high end catering so my opinion is based upon many years experience. This hotel and its excellent staff are being let down by its head chef. the kitchen needs to be led by someone with a background of high end food production at the moment, it is not.
