Brilliant stay
A brilliant stay at Twenty Nevern. We stayed in the junior suite downstairs and were really pleased with the size of the room and the facilities. It’s a stones throw from Earls Court tube station, so it made getting around London really easy. It’s located in a quiet area, close to shops. Had some trouble with the heating and a member of staff quickly came and showed us how to use it. A really reasonable price and we would stay here in again. The hotel was undergoing some works but this didn’t impact the stay. Breakfast was great, only continental but it does the job. When booked we weren’t aware the hotel charged a £100 deposit (Which the hotel holds for ten days ) on debit cards and a 1p charge on credit cards. We don’t use credit cards so this wasn’t ideal. However we would still stay here in the future.

Good 6.0
When booking online it shows you pictures of all the rooms in the hotel. Somehow i got the smallest room with bed right up against the wall. No room to get in or out of bed. Room and bath room I got was very small. Would not have taken this room if I had known. Lift was also out of action. Only told this after booking. Suggest you check which room you are getting when booking and dont take a room where the bed is sideways against a wall.

Reat service, not so great bed.
The hotel was beautiful. Service was very good. The lift was being replaced so 6 flights of stairs with suitecases was not pleasant. Room was very small for two people with a suitecase each. Bed, not so comfortable.

Two-day stay
Lovely, comfy bed. Lift was out of action so had 80 steps to get to the Door of my room. Water was off for a short while but soon came back on. Two other irritations. Breakfast room full one day of my stay - it meant a 10 minute wait for a table and an even longer delay for my cup of tea. The light in my bathroom came on automatically and turned off a random intervals as I was in the shower or cleaning my teeth. Slightly unsettling.

Great hotel in a good location.
We stayed one night in a small double. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were excellent and happy to help at all times. Good quiet area with easy access to the tube. we will book again.

We only stayed one night but staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was small but very clean and well equipped. Continental breakfast was lovely.

Poor 2.0
This hotel urgently needs new management!
I travel a lot - my job is writing about hospitality (restaurants, sometimes also hotels), so I accumulated many nights in different hotels around the world. I never had such a terrible experience as in this hotel. We booked a luxury double four pollster room and were put into a room on ground floor beside reception (never saw a luxury room so badly positioned!). Shutters didn't work, pipe in the bathroom was totally wobbly, the temperature in the shower was impossible to regulate (so my partner who tried it out suggested I skip showering!), you can't switch off the light n the bathroom (it goes off half an hour after you leave the bathroom - such a waste of energy!) there is also no phone in the room, so you can't complain when you can't sleep until midnight because of loudness and when you are woken up at 5 am because of the deliveries to the hotel (they were throwing the heavy loads in such a way that it felt like earthquake (literally) and it lasted half an hour). Management didn't react to any complaint - no refund (at least partial) or an extra night because of all the issues we had. I understand that some mistake can happen (but here there were too many of them), but hotels are not only about giving a room. It is also about hospitality and care. We didn't get what we paid for (a luxury room in a 4-star hotel) and the management didn't care. This is the best recipe for losing guests.
