Perfect antidote to a transatlantic flight. Welcoming staff, relaxing atmosphere, picturesque surroundings, and delicious breakfast.
this fine hotel never fails to please. We've visited multiple times of decades and yet the maintenance, attention to detail, and general level of excellence remains tip-top. You won't find a better 4star boutique hotel in Colorado if you like truly historical settings and service.
The water in the shower would start out lukewarm then get cold without ever getting hot. There was a vibration in the walls and a humming noise that might have been another guest's jetted tub, but it was really loud. Everything else was great including the breakfast and the service.
Wonderful
Great stay! Wonderful place!
The experience was amazing the staff (the valet, reception, kitchen staff, servers) was amazing! On more than one occasion they were able to accommodate our needs without hassle and with ease. They even came to our room to open up our wine bottles. The only reason, I'm not giving the Cliff House an overall Excellent 5 Stars, was because of the Manager. We found him to be a bit curt, and his customer service skills were subpar, considering the rest of the staff were exceptional.
The Cliff House is a historic hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room and the bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the jets on the tub did not work.
They upgraded us for free, and the stay was wonderful. No strange noises like some older facilities, the entire place had an elegant charm that spoke to its Victorian beginnings, and it was within a block of charming downtown Manitou Springs. The onsite restaurant was fantastic, and the room service menu prices was actually reasonable! I would definitely go back
The “bellhop” service stops at the front door. We had a reservation at a local restaurant for dinner. The staff convinced us to stay an dine in and assured us that seating was not a problem. After canceled out previous reservation we were told that they didn’t have a table available in the restaurant. We were seated 50ft from the entry to the hotel in a piano area, but the constant coming and going in and out the room was dreadfully cold. Zero degrees outdoors. They tried to accommodate with space heaters. Not effectIve. Additionally they overcooked the filet mignon. Took 10 minutes just to get a server at the table. Do not dine here unless you have a confirmed reservation well in advance regardless what the staff says. It’s lousy service and seating! Almost forgot if you are a wine snob; their list is laughable. $13 per glass wine is their best offering and it’s a $6.99 bottle at any-store usa. Not that inexpensive wines cannot be good, but that was their “best”. The hotel is old. The curtains were stained and something had been splattered onto a painting over the fireplace in the room and never cleaned. fungus was visible in the tub, that’s a zero rating from my wife immediately. The beds are comfortable, the room was spacious the breakfast was perfect. Valet and turndowns was their best services.
Excellent service Great hotel
