Not aging well.
I have been staying at the Hilton Mauritius since 2008. It never disappointed me until this time. It started at check in when I had to ask multiple times about my Hilton Honors number being in the system. No welcome back verbally or by note. No extra special touches for Hilton Honors members like they did in the past. I used all the herbal tea in my room and it wasn't replenished. No hot water in my shower when i arrived at the hotel the first evening. After a wedding i believe Sunday night beer cans and glasses where still on the beach when i went walking at 7 am. It looked like a frat house. Compared to other neighboring hotels this looked messy. The erosion on the beach is getting worse. Nothing the hotel can do, its just sad. Overall the property has aged considerably. I always loved this hotel. I'm usually in Mauritius on Business and found this hotel to have a nice mix of people instead of strictly honeymooners.
