Exceptional 10.0
We stayed 7 nights the last week of July 2019. Location, location, location and a very friendly staff. We even had a parcel shipped to the hotel before our arrival and they held onto it until we arrived. We got in on an early morning flight, so they held our bags until the room was ready and we went out to see the area. Check in was very easy and quick. The front desk staff was great. If we wanted some silverware, they got it. We needed hot water, they got it. We had very loud guests next door the first night. We discussed with the front desk the next morning and they offered to move us and looked up the date the next door guests were leaving. We decided to stay in our room since the neighbors were only there one night. The front desk must have spoken to them, because it was quiet the next night and we had no problems the rest of our stay. Location is wonderful. Plenty of restaurants nearby. We really liked a small little place just outside the hotel door. Very friendly owner(?) there who made us feel really welcome. We also liked the ice cream shop just next to that. The hotel breakfast buffet was great. We were glad we got the breakfast package included. 2 underground stations with 3 different lines made getting anywhere easy. One was right under the hotel. Hyde Park directly across the street. We walked across to Science museum and other attractions. Downside - need a gym. Especially on the rainy days when couldn't go for a run in the park.

Poor 2.0
DO NOT BOOK A FAMILY ROOM!!!. We booked this hotel because we love Kensington Gardens. We had hoped for at least some minor view of the park. Unfortunately that was impossible AS THESE FAMILY ROOMS ARE IN THE BASEMENT WITH NO WINDOW (The "window" is a piece of glazed glass with an artificial fluorescent light behind it). To not say the room has NO WINDOWS is a misrepresentation of the room. It should be offered as a super economy room at best. Additionally it is conveniently located right next door to the QUEENSWAY SUBWAY STOP. Normally this would be good but since we were underground WE HEARD EVERY TRAIN GO BY DAY AND NIGHT AND FOUND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SLEEP!!! The staff was friendly and tried to help but as the hotel was full sound not change our rooms. Finally several of the front desk staff did not speak English well enough for the job. I deal with people of different cultures every day and am good at understanding all sorts of accents. However, I had some real trouble with getting my point across with some (certainly not all as some of the front desk staff were very good) of the front desk staff. I think they need to raise their standards for language knowledge and advertise rooms fairly if they want to succeed. I am a loyal Hilton member but will not return to this location. The one bright spot was Michael in the French restaurant adjacent to the hotel-he was extremely nice and helpfull!

Very good 8.0
Very convenient and great location. 10 steps away from Queensway station and another 3 min walk to Bayswater Station. Opposite Hyde Park (Lion gate), just cross the road then you can jogging in the perfect green space of London. In the same area you can find convenient stores, souvenir shops, coffee & organic snack - Prêt, several international restaurants for your choice, and most of all, you could taste roast duck from 2 famous Chinese restaurants of London - Four Seasons and Gold Mine. The room is very clean. Small bathroom and tiny space on wash basin, cannot put your own belonging if you have lots of make up stuff. There is only one elevator, small and slow. I used only when check in and out. Good service and friendly staff. Breakfast - continental style, same menu everyday but good quality. I traveled with friends. We booked 3 bedrooms, same type and luckily we got same floor. However, I just found out on the last day we were there that they are a bit different in each room. One got bathtub, one have a bit bigger space and the last one is quite smaller than others. We didn't upset about this because all the rest are good for us.

Nice hotel for walking distance to Hyde Park
We stayed here in July 2017. Overall we were fairly happy with our experience at this hotel. It was great walking distance to Hyde Park and access to the subway (tube). The surrounding shops were pretty cheap and owners not very friendly, but once into Hyde Park there was great areas to walk around. The room was pretty nice but very tight, in particular the bathroom was very small. Traveling through Western Europe the room was about average in size but not very spacious to lay out big suitcases or fit two people in the bathroom. The check in staff was friendly, and the cleanliness was good. It was quite expensive in July though, for what it was, we probably would have preferred to have been on the other side of Hyde Park closer to the tourist areas. Note there are multiple Hilton's around Hyde Park and our taxi took us to the wrong one and still charged us so make sure you include the address with your hotel name to your driver.

Fair 4.0
The family room is in the basement and you can hear the trains overhead. This is not something that you are told at the time of booking, in which case we would have booked two rooms instead of one. Needless to say there was no view over Hyde Park which was rather disappointing ! The decors in the rooms are outdated, the pillows too soft from wear, and the room was cold despite putting the heating up to 29 degrees. Offered ear plugs which shows that the hotel is aware of this issue. The breakfast service is poor. The setting is outdated. Top up of food for breakfast buffet was slow. The juices were warm and tasted unrefreshing. Very poor for a Hilton hotel especially when one considers the price and especially if you are looking forward to a nice break.
