could do much better...
Its small, Make sure you don't get room 18, it is absolutely tiny how it can be classed as a double room beats me, we could not pass each other and had to take turns to move around? The large windows face a busy main road, as many others do, and are single glazed... so the road noise is horrendous as Its the busiest road in Edinburgh. The room was tidy enough, with a shabby chic decor. The bathroom was neat but a challenge, so small it was impossible to get 2 people in together, and a ridiculously tiny sink which made it impossible to shave without flooding the place.. Breakfast was a rather sad affair, the grumpy elderly English chap running around in a fluster was obviously leading the 2 staff. Not once did he say 'Good Morning', please or thank you.. he would not make eye contact so pretty much ignored all the guests as they tried to get his attention. The buffet at 9.15 am consisted of 3 slices of bread, a half dozen slices of cold meat, a few small pastries and some tiny boxes of cereal, no fruit juice was left, and did not refill. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast which was a slice of dried out veggie haggis, a crispy fried egg half a potato scone dripping in oil and 2 uncooked hash browns (which oozed excess oil as you pressed them) and a large mushroom. The wilted spinach and the baked beans (as described in the menu) were missing. Needless to say it went mostly uneaten. They could do so much better, Have to say for £90.00, there are many better alternatives around..

Murrayfield stay
First night at the hotel was excellent, bed was very comfy, room size was excellent and bathroom facilities also great. Unfortunately, the next day the heaters were not working and it was rather cold, was given an electric heater but it didn’t do such a great job. Also, came to find bed was made and there were crumbs in the bed, so, it wasn’t cleant properly. Struggled to sleep at night as there was a lot of noise coming from downstairs, there was a live band and constant clanging of doors. Breakfast was ok. Staff were really nice, shame about the rest.
