Beautiful hotel, rooms eh
Staff is friendly and helpful, building is a beautifully restored 500 year old building. Location can't be beat if you're a tourist seeing the main attractions and shopping. But the room... Mine had a small window facing an alley, kind of depressing. The room itself is also small, yet filled with huge furniture. No drawers available to unpack belongings except a small closet to hang things, so I was living out of my suitcase for 5 days. Bed is enormous but not flat so you rolls to the sides. Another waste of space. The doors and walls are also pretty thin, so you can hear everything in the hallway and atrium lobby (and vice versa I assume). Room service food was mixed - mostly good but a medium rare burger was delivered raw, and a medium rare steak came medium. C'mon, pay attention. Two people in this room would be downright uncomfortable. Too bad, because the hotel itself and staff are very nice. I wouldn't stay here again though, unless they redecorate the rooms appropriately for their size and soundproof the doors.
