In my opinion, and based on my travels, I think the rooms could use a little updating. That said, the décor may be part of the hotel's intended theme and overall character. The private beach is a nice feature, and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay.

I was a little concerned when we first got there, but our stay was better than expected. It’s an old motel, but our room was clean and had new appliances. The bed was comfortable and had clean, crisp sheets which is the first thing I look for when I stay somewhere. The room was ample size, very small bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Free parking. Convenient location. Price was right for Martha’s Vineyard.

But the refrigerator froze our food, there was no coffee maker in room, the table and dressers were vintage, and the bathtub needed replacing or resurfacing. The common areas were very nice and well maintained. Each unit has a different owner, so I would try another unit next time.

We made a very last minute reservation when our ferry was canceled due to weather. The person at the desk moved us to the first floor because we had a stroller and got us a pack and play and was just super helpful during a very stressful time. Our room had a full kitchen with full sized fridge, oven, microwave, and was overall clean and exactly what we needed when traveling with a baby. We didn’t get to enjoy the beach because of the weather but it’s super close to the ferry - you can actually see the boat - and to some nice restaurants and cafes. Exceeded expectations!
