About Eiffel Rive Gauche

Cheery, affordable hotel in a quiet spot near Eiffel Tower

All eyes on Eiffel

Heaven for foodies
You'll be a 5-minute walk from the food shops of Rue Cler, and gourmet restaurants on Rue St-Dominique include Christian Constant's Le Violin d'Ingres and trendy brasserie Thoumieux. Food for thought is on offer at nearby Musée du Quai Branly, with its tribal art collections.

Eiffel Rive Gauche
Could not sleep in the hotel because they gave us a room beside a bathroom that was being used until 2am. There was no air conditioning in the room and not even a portable fan. I would advise to use the room for storage or another bathroom. It is not fit for customers.

Should be rated 1-2 stars and that being generous
OMG this place was disgusting. There was hair on the shower and on the shower walls from the previous guests and when we went to reception to report this they said it would be cleaned the following day so that first night and following morning we had to use a dirty shower. The room is small that you can hardly move. When coming back after a day out we found that all they’d done is make the bed the shower was STILL DIRTY. Not a happy experience in the slightest and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Super Paris
Service and staff 5 star. Room was very small but this could be the norm for Paris near the tower. Recommend getting a bottle of wine or couple off beers in a bag and sitting on the grass under the tower.

Fairly disappointed
There was construction going on during our visit. I wish this was communicated to us prior to arriving. At a minimum, we would have not prepaid with the non-refundable rate. After arriving, we would have considered another hotel in the area. We stayed in room 102, which was right over the lobby where the construction was going on, and our window overlooked a work van doing the work. The elevator/lift is good for two people with no luggage, or one person with luggage. Again, it's not the end of the world, but there should be something clearer about this somewhere. If you can get up with your luggage, you'll have to carry it from the elevator point to your room, as one of the best features of the building ( the stairs ) are right outside the elevator. Let me put it this way, I had an older relative ask about where to stay in Paris, and I could not recommend this to them due to not being able to get to any room without stairs involved. The surrounding area was perfect for us. There was a local bakery who made fresh bread multiple times throughout the day. Perfect to swing by and pick up a baguette to walk around with! Wifi was absent most of the time. You would be connected, but have no Internet. Ended up turning off Wifi every day.
