This is a newer hotel and everything was very nice. Staff was awesome and breakfast was very good. I rated it 4 only because there was a strong order around the elevator on the 3rd floor, but honestly, it looked pretty clean and rooms were very spacious.

I loved my 8 night stay at Hotel MX Mas! The service was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast was always delicious. If you’re new to San Miguel, just know that it’s not in centro, but I actually preferred this because it’s very quiet. I will gladly stay here again!

As I try to be a positive person, let me start with the positive. We stayed for 5 nights the first week of July. The beds were firm which is what we like (though the plastic under the sheets was annoying.) The shower always had hot water. Room/property was clean. The breakfasts, though the same every day were good and plentiful. There was always coffee available anytime. The pool was warm. Wifi was never a problem. The not so positive. I sent a whatsapp message requesting a top floor (3rd) but never received a response and got on the second. The rooms lacked sufficient hanging bars and hangers (4). Everything had to be placed in drawers which there was also a shortage of. Perhaps, the MOST disappointing issue were the towels. They were torn and tattered so bad, I would normally use for washing and drying my car. The sink plug in the bathroom did not work so I had to remove the metal plug the first night and it stayed that way for the five nights - never repaired. The pool contained more algae than I was comfortable with to put my head under the surface the first few days. Pool towels ran out and were not replaced for 2 days. So after all this - would we stay there again? - yes - for the included breakfasts, plenty of parking, good beds, and knowing the negatives, while not pleasant, the hotel was clean and quiet. They just need to do some upkeep on the peripheral items. As it stands, I would rate it 3 out of 5. A few changes could easily bring that rating up to a 5.
