Comfortable stay
We came to Birmingham for a funeral so stayed in the hotel where the wake was held. We were able to check in early - to a room with a bathtub as requested. It was a very comfortable room and we were able to have lunch before going to the funeral. The only problem preventing us from giving top marks to this hotel was a problem with the heating - the radiators were cold. However, an electric heater was provided which did the job! The bathroom was warm with a heated towel rail. In fact the bathroom was luxurious. Breakfast the following morning was excellent -cooked to order.

Value for money
Rooms a bit dated but clean and tidy. Good powerful shower, but the fixed shower head was at my shoulder height (I’m 6’2”). Food in the bar was fine and average prices I guess. Breakfast was the same. I would stay again

The room was slightly cool but warmer by the radiator. The cleanliness of the room was very good. It was nice and quiet so I had a great night's sleep

Poor 2.0
I am not happy at all with the hotel, every things bad,it's looks like sharing homes, Not cleaned, no WiFi, 0 services, Not really enjoyed, very bad,AND expensive. Not happy.

My main priority is a comfortable bed and quiet room, both of which I got. The bar was soul destroying and ultra pricey, the breakfast was the quality you would expect from a "stack em high - push them out" type carvery, and the wifi was virtually non existent, coupled with the fact that about 75% of the hotel, including both rooms I have stayed in, dont pick up 4G. Still, they have nice squeeky stairs which builds character, and its always high drama to see if your car survived the night. I have seen no problems in the 4 days i have stayed, but others talk of car park break in issues, perhaps long gone? The Simca Spice, opposite the hotel on the main road, is excellent, great food, cheap beer and lovely staff.
