    Budget stop with specific clientele- noisy.

    The room was well equipped with a good bed,bath and tea facilities. The toilet cistern was defective (taking between 20 and 40 minutes to drip or dribble to a level where it could be used again). My issue was that the man on reception with the whining voice did not accept that anything was wrong! A couple would have experienced embarrassment in sharing the bathroom. The clientele mainly consists of workmen who like to make a lot of noise from 5.30am and busloads of pensioners who get up early. With the creaking floorboards above,adjacent and in the corridor, sleep was limited. I was unfortunate in that a number of new beds had been parked outside my room and these needed a noisy army of people to shuffle them along the corridor and bang into my door. Breakfast finished at 8.30am - some indication of this would have been helpful but there is a great Wetherspoons 5 minutes away. The price of the room should have been an indication that all was not well.

    Would not recommend

    Not the standard you’d expect from mecure. On the surface appeared modern and nicely decorated however on closer inspection dirty worn carpets, damp and mould, broken tv and window. Would certainly not recommend the food cheap, frozen and deep fried with a restaurant price tag. The 2 staff were very helpful and nice, trying their very best, however it’s clear they could only do so much with the resources they had.

    Not great at all

    Room was not very clean and the door to the adjoining room had not been locked so at 6am the guest in the next room tried to get in the room. Luckily I had a chair against it. Also when the fire alarm went off I went to the nearest exit to find it was locked. Very disappointed.

    Food on offer ( at 19:30) of poor standard only ate at the Restaurant once because of this Couldn't get a Vat at the restaurant had go to reception & waited till new customers had been booked it. Saturday Night there was a Wedding reception Still at 4am there was people running around slamming rooms.Even had my adjoining door opened at 3am. I was working again at 6 am with littleto mo sleep.I would have to be desperate to book into this Hotel again

    Comfortable stay

    The inside of the hotel is clean and looks a lot better than the outside so don’t be put off with first impressions. Staff were very fried and helpful.

    Stayed here before and it’s ok bed comfortable shower not great but done the job. With COVID-19 the bar was only serving bottles at £3.50 and the food had to be pre ordered. Overall ok.

    A really good choice for an overnight stay. The room was very comfortable with a great king size bed and plenty of floor space. The bath was deep and the water very hot. Reception was basic but Julie made us feel very welcome despite the need for masks because of Corinavirus.

    Ok for overnight.

    Our room was a lovely size. The gentlemen on reception was very helpful. Unfortunately, the room cards were not working- the man said the machine had broken during lock down so our room door was ajar and we had to be met by a night porter when we returned just after midnight to be let in. There was no mention of the breakfast offering when I booked through hotels.com but the bag contained cereal, two bowls which were full of croissant crumbs, two soft green apples with wrinkles, a defrosted croissant wrapped in clingfilm cheap juice and milk. I don't think this was worth what we paid extra for having breakfast. The bathroom had cracked tiles and the door frame was dirty. The bed was clean and comfy.

    Paid £9 for buffet breakfast which was not available only got a grab and go bag with cereal milk water and a orange No meals available and no bar Had to get the receptionist to let me in to room everytime i returned to hotel as no keys were being issued
