The stagy was okay. We went on half board, the options could have been more different for each night.

    Rip-off hotel
Us as a couple decide we were going to stay in a new hotel in Malta as the usual one was going through repairs. Though we were heavily disappointed in this one as we felt they wanted to rip us off at every opportunity. First off the first room they put us in was on the ground floor behind the bar and was very run down plus the corridor outside is the main walkway between the new and old hotel (don’t stay in rooms 20-40). This meant we had loads of noise throughout the night. We requested a new room which was charged at €15. Then also be aware that water is €4 per 750ml bottle and staff will flat out refuse to give you tap water, it's cheaper to buy beer than water here. Further charges I would expected to be included in most rooms, safe key €2.50 per day, beach towel €3 per change and bath robes €3.50 per day. To throw further insult to injury this was advertised as having 2 indoor pools, a detail we wanted at this time of year but on arrival only 1 small one was working and the other was a building site. When I raised this with staff I was met with a very defensive response that their hotel was only going to be fully open in May but that didn’t stop them charging us close to €100 per night.

    Good 6.0
Can't live up to its looks unfortunately.
The access road to the resort doesn't put you in the right frame of mind when you approach and is a nightmare with the buses coming up and down. Appreciate that there are works to improve the road but it should have been done in advance of the opening of the new section of the resort I feel. Food for breakfast was ok, it had a good range of stuff, but quality was variable. The Horizon buffet food was poor I felt, especially when compared to the newer buffet in the new part of the hotel which was very good. Our room was ok, we were in the older part of the hotel, but the beds were spoilt by having noisy plastic under sheets and the patio door to the balcony was very stiff to open. The bar and pools were very good. Used the Italian restaurant , but atmosphere was sterile and the service was poor especially as we only ordered 2 pasta dishes, having to wait 45 mins to get them to the table. The car park is very small and the overspill car park is a rough unmade unlit area not representative of a 4* resort. Location wise its out on a limb, and for me the overall quality did little to make me want to return. Wi fI in the rooms was also poor, so I ended up using my own data as it was far quicker.

Great place to stay in Malta.
Great hotel but only when You book in new part which is way more expensive. When book all inclusive You can only eat for free in one restaurant, other offer discounts around 8euros.Selected drinks are free. In other hands, the swimming pools and facilities are great and clean, small sandy beach but nice. Great location to go around isles Comino and Gozo. No shops around so be mind do a bit travel if need to do some shopping. Finally, Malta is great place with friendly people.

    Exceptional 10.0
    Single stay in Ramla Bay.
I could not fault the hotel but there was very little in the way of local bars and restaurants. The nearest location was in Mellieha which was a bus ride away. Lovely hotel and the new part of the hotel was stunning.

A great place to relax and unwind
A lovely relaxing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Valletta. The resort was lovely, the staff superbly trained and incredibly polite. At the time of going the new spa was almost finished (estimated mid-May completion), which looked amazing. The location is good of you want to relax, and also visit Gozo/Comino. Would happily stay again.

Avoid ground and sub ground floor rooms
This was my third stay at the Ramla Bay Resort Hotel and I have previously given this hotel a 5 star review. Unfortunately this time I have had to reduce to 4 stars because the ground floor room I was allocated was next to the games room and had a view of a wall and a car park! I had booked an Economy room which was superb value but on enquiring about paying a supplement to upgrade to a room with a view I was advised that the only room available was on the third floor and would cost an additional €57 per night i.e. an additional €342 for my six night bed and breakfast stay! I was shown the room and the lovely sea view but I declined! After the initial disappointment I enjoyed my stay and was impressed as always by the cleanliness of the room, public areas and gardens, the friendliness of the cleaning and restaurant staff and the excellent food selections at the breakfast and dinner buffets.

We had a last minute week break at a good price. The hotel was reasonably priced and we have no complaints.
