Great quirky hotel
This hotel is perfectly situated to access shopping streets, restaurants, theatres, bars, nightclubs... The staff is really nice and helpful. This hotel is a unique experience. If you want only modern, don't go there, but if you're looking for something different, this is the hotel for you. Had a couple of great nights. Brilliant

Dickens would have stayed here....
Nice oldy-worldy small boutique hotel right in the middle of everything - very buzzy at night. Hotel is a wee maze of little windy corridors leading to nice sitting rooms / trust bar (24 hours) or staircases up to the rooms. Walls are all covered in portraits of lords and ladies of the past. Everything was clean and the service was very friendly and down to earth (receptionist had to slide the sleeping cat off the keyboard when we were checking in - cat didn’t even attempt to wake up) Only thing I would say is the oldy-worldiness extended to the loo seat which was the least comfy loo seat ever. Enjoyed our stay - definitely encapsulates the character of London, even if of days gone by.

I’ve been staying at the Hazlitt for a long time now and it’s located perfectly for the theatre, shopping, eating and just about anything else you need. It’s great when the staff remember you and make time to chat and have a catch-up. I’ve never had a bad stay here and will continue to stay here as it’s simply the best hotel for what it is. And that’s a piece of history.

Great time-warp hotel, close your room carefully!!
Hazlitt's is a hidden gem and the service I is great. There aren't many places where you'll find an honest bar in this day and age but being able to sit by an open fire in the library of this place, with a gin and tonic in hand, is one of life's better experiences!! The only issue we had was with the room - Mrs Millet is on the front of the billing facing the street. The windows don't close properly so the noise from the late night bars across the road is very disruptive. The bathroom windows don't open so it's like a steam room, and the heating /cooling system has a mind of its own, blowing red hot air into the room at 3am to get you today in the bed. A little maintenance would be good - this was a superior room after all. Otherwise it's a great place to stay and the staff are wonderful.

Hidden gem with bags of character
Amazing location, character and service. Definitely not run of the mill and a different experience. Maybe not the most comfortable for a prolonged stay (no lift, rooms not too big, not all floors, staircases etc. straight), but extremely romantic and comforting.
