Fantastic hotel that could easily be a 4 star. Very clean, nice rooms, great staff. Breakfast in the morning was always really good & a few minutes walk to the Copacabana. Highly recommended for any stay in Rio.

Workers were great as they were limited cause the hotel was so run down. A/c on lower floors were so old that one went on fire and the alarms were not heard from our floor. Woke up to smell of smoke. Place is so very run down. Our A/c was so weak the we had to buy a fan just to keep kool. Refrigerator was not cold so we had to buy a cooler just to keep our water cold. We had to buy ice cause they did not have an ice maker. Beds were half covered cause they did not have the right size and/or ran out. Worst hotel and also worst experience I have had with Travelocity. I was in a foreign country. Reached out to Travelocity and the best they could do was offer a hotel in the worst area. So put me from the frying pan into the fire. They offer to call the hotel when I got back for a discount and also a credit from Travelocity. Told me they would call me back. Have not heard from them. Will not use their services in the future.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the Copacabana/Leme beach area. I have been staying there for the past 6 years, after selling my apartment nearby. It is the only hotel for that prize point that includes complimentary breakfast, a decent gym and a small pool. The pool is really small, only 12 ' x18' and less than 3' deep; more like a big Jaccuzi. The hotel's location is unbeatable, 3 minutes from Copacabana beach, 6 minutes from the Rio Sul Shopping Center and 9 minutes from the metro. Ask for a room in that back, as not to face the busy Princesa Isabel Avenue.

This is my first time in my life that you are not allowed guest to visit u in ur room, i paid for my room and i can bring who ever i want to bring. I've travelled the world this is my first time this happened to me. and the other condition the can allow u to bring guest but you have to pay Brazillian $ 150 per guest to visit. I m very dis appointed. the people are great but the rules are out of the world.
