Fantastic hotel in the heart of key west
The hotel is right on the historic US-1 highway just north of mile marker 0. The staff and management of the hotel could not do enough to make your stay perfect with a number of eating - drinking and sight seeing locations. When we return I know this will be our go to hotel.

Loved The Almond Tree
Great hotel, with unexpected luxurious touches, such as evening bed turn, 5-7pm happy hour with free nibbles, decent non-cooked breakfast and a resident iguana. Walk over to eat at The Black Fin restaurant, and you could ask for nothing better.

Compact, comfortable and great location
2-night stay at the end of a tour around Havana, Grand Cayman and Miami. The Almond Tree was generally very good, the exception being a bit over the top on Xmas decorations and music. Location excellent to roam around Key West without a car. Staff were great and the room very comfortable, if a little small. We enjoyed lots of unexpected extras, however - the room lacked for nothing except space. Great shower.

A Beautiful Find in Key West.
This Inn was a great find and in a great location, you could walk everywhere, we were near the hustle and bustle of Duval St,yet once back to the Inn it was nice and peaceful, our room was spotless, breakfast was good and more than adequate, best of all was Happy Hour which stretched from 5.00p.m.-7.00p.m.The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.

Over priced, over hyped.
When we checked in the man on reception told me that the wheelchair accessible room must have already been booked up when I booked on, so my request for an accessible room could not be honoured. He made me feel like I should have known that they only have one and therefore should not have booked. The reason they only have one wheelchair accessible room is that the rooms are tiny. Really, really small. Caused me all sorts of problems. Would it really have been so hard to call or email me in advance and give me the opportunity to book somewhere else? The hotel thinks far too much of itself. There is only a screen thing separating the bedroom from the toilet, so if your partner is using the toilet you get treated to all the sounds and smells! Seriously, who thinks this is a good idea in a hotel?! The 'happy hour' in the evening is advertised as free drinks and this is not the case. We were given a voucher for a single free drink only. They think they're doing you a favour by letting you stay in their oh-so-wonderful hotel. Also tip jars and envelopes everywhere, which is grabby to say the least. You'd have thought for $360 a night they could afford to pay the staff a proper wage? I stayed in $50 a night hotels with complementary breakfasts that don't feel the need to put tip jars out.
