Average quality for the price
Hotel is on the edge of town so it is a bit of a hike (20 minutes) walk to downtown restaurants and shops; although there is a transit bus this only runs hourly at most in the evenings. Room was large, with a small balcony but rather dated. Health club was nice, especially the hot tub and guest laundry was very useful. Restaurant, however, was poor (we didn't try breakfast there, due to other poor reviews but we did try dinner one evening .... better to eat downtown). Reception staff were generally indifferent and did not even ask if we had enjoyed our stay when we checked out. Overall, no particular issues but quite expensive for the standard provided.

Great chilled out hotel to explore all Banff has to offer from. Good rate for the room. Needs updating but was great for us & really comfy bed!

A positive experience but it is quite a long walk into the town of Banff for those who are not so mobile

Rundlestone Lodge was very nice. Our room was very large & comfortable. The indoor pool was a bonus. The location was in walking distance of the town, but we did think it was a bit pricey.

Dated but comfortable enough
The hotel is showing its age and badly needs refurbishment but aside from that its relatively clean and comfortable with plenty of free parking. It's a good 20 minute walk from the centre of Banff. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but cheap enough, best eat in town.

Good hotel, liked the idea of free DVD rentals. Not really sure though why I had to pay a deposit of $150 & have the room inspected on check out? At 59 I'm hardly going to trash the room?? Strange....
