Inn At Morro Bay
Prepare To Be Disappointed!
I am a father traveling with my 22-year old daughter. When I searched for a hotel in this area, my main criteria was that the room had two beds and so those hotels with only one bed were disregarded. My booking at the Inn At Morro Bay was based on two beds but when we arrived and found our room, there was only one bed. A call to reception about this problem resulted in zero response, they didn't have any twin bedded rooms. We had no option but to stay so that evening, having read the restaurant menu on the hotel's website, we decided to try the hotel for dinner because the menu did look amazing. Unfortunately, the menus we were given at the table could not have been more different from the one on the hotel website. It didn't have one single item from the website version and was about 10% of total dishes available. When I asked the waiter where the website menu was, he said that it had been out of date for years. The food was ok but we were more than disappointed. Service was scrappy too and it all felt so grubby in the restaurant. No, I'll never go back again and I would advise others to beware of how the hotel is depicted on the website because you'll be sorely disappointed. The bed, however, was very comfortable, albeit that it was one that my daughter and I were forced to share.

Charming room and location
Classy resort with some quality tourist souvenir shops and plenty of restaurants nearby (we particularly enjoyed the Thai restaurant and the ice-cream shop). The hotel said it was right on the beach, and it had a nice view from the restaurant/bar, but don't expect a nice clean beach: the nearest beach was covered with oyster shells and some litter. Seals in the harbour, interesting sandbanks, Morro rock with lots of bird life, and huge waves rolling in from the Pacific. We had an upstairs bedroom with sea view (over the rooftops!), and as there was no lift we had to carry our large suitcases up the stairs. Nice pool and hot tub.

Wouldn't stay here again
We had to shoulder barge our way into the hotel room and slam the door every time we left. The doors to the balcony didn't close properly. The shower was not very good. We ate in the restaurant for dinner. The food options were good but it was poor service. We got the feeling the hotel was trying to be better than it was.

Summer vacation in Morro
Enjoyed a leisurely unhurried break. Loved the hotel- restaurant great with fantastic views and children enjoyed the pool. Wi-fi only available in main reception not inour room. Rooms need updating looking a little tired, but would thoroughly recommend.
