Okay but more like 3 star hotel
Lovely staff but never enough of them around so had to wait a while to be seen; they didn't always give the most accurate advice about travelling either. usually travel advice and city maps are offered upon check in too but they didn't even offer or ask. The place is charming, but a little noisy. The shower was very modern and clean but the design was so absurd as there was no door but just a ledge only an inch high to keep the water in. The water wouldn't drain fast enough so everytime I showered longer than 1 minute, the entire bathroom was totally flooded even if I was very cautious. There was no extraction fan either so it would take ages to dry out and I had to lay out all the towels on the floor to drain up all the water! The air conditioning only had vents upstairs in be bed section so if one was downstairs and cold and turned it on, almost none of the heat was felt downstairs but the bed section was boiling. Having stairs in the room was "cute" but again should have been mentioned when booking as it wasnt very convenient Another minor thing was that of the two tv remotes, only one had batteries inside! There was also extensive building work going on in and around the hotel; I think the likelihood that this would happen around these dates should have been mentioned when booking. Overall the place was not a 4 star place in my opinion. There was so much more to be improved on.

beautiful hotel
staff very pleseant, lovely hotel, bar/restaurant good prices. Floor not hovered during stay, tea and shower cap thrown out and not repalced which was annoyining during the morning rush. Having work done so it was a bit muddy outside but we could not hear any noise and our room was at the front on second floor above the work.

Beautiful hotel
The stay was good. The hotel looked beautiful on the inside, I can't comment much on the outside as they were renovating at the time. The room was really warm and no table fan was available so I struggled to sleep well. Also, we booked and asked for a twin room but we were given a double due to available so that was abit dissapointing. Sander, the young man who sat at the front desk was amazing. He held really good conversation and was very informing. The restaurant he recommended was amazing!
