Misleading ads that say their beach is ON SITE, however their beaches are unusable!! Due to MASS amounts of seaweed, they conveniently leave out that detail. That should have been NOTED and explained before booking. Not to mention the seaweed made our room smell to the point of almost gagging. When i called to see if housekeeping could do anything, to my surprise the hotel rep said, “no, to be honest it’s just the seaweed”. AWFUL. I’m not even one to typically complain either. Also, rude staff and I don’t know what the “resort” fee is for- this is far from a resort. The ice machines didn’t work, the elevator was broke for half my stay, meaning it didn’t comply with the ADA. I was on the 3rd floor and was basically told “too bad”, even though I specifically checked to make sure they had elevator due to an pre existing condition I have. Not to mention this place has NO room service! What a joke of a “resort”. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Period. I’m taking this complaint to a very high level, trust me. I Also gathered other guests names and info, who were also complaining about the conditions- trust me I was not alone. I am definitely talking to a lawyer about this. Considering they wouldn’t do anything to compensate. Rip off. Honestly, Cheap Tickets is not much better for allowing such LIES to be facilitated on your site. Not sure I’ll ever use your service again , after years of doing so.

Great Hotel- But Pricey
The hotel is great, the rooms are great, the location is awesome, but the money you spend, should get a lot more. The hotel charges everything!!! Parking? Sure one night $25, daily resort “fee” sure $40 a night. It all adds up at the end to be over 300 at least a night!!! There are hotels not to far from Duval Street that charge 150 a night and free parking!!! No other fees, and no other charges. The hotel is good, don’t get me wrong on that. Will I return? NO, it’s not worth the money, I don’t mind spending 300,400,500... etc but you need to provide services that are apart of that price, but I know the hotel is going to say...”but but, the service fee is for the cleaning staff, and making sure the property is good”” blah blah blah, like all of them say it is. So after knowing all this, this hotel is great, but nowhere near is the price of the room in total is good to what you get. If you don’t care about paying for something too much, this place is for you. If you are smart about money and know what’s worth what, look somewhere else. Overall good hotel! Price terrible.

Key West
Overall we enjoyed the resort Southernmost in Key West. We were however very disappointed with our experience. I made an error booking 1 day earlier than expected arrival. After 1 hour on the phone with trying to have it changed to the next day, they finally accommodated & said all was fixed. Also, I should disclose that we were still willing to pay the night that we weren’t even staying for in order to not loose our reservation. We did not want to arrive to Key West with no where to stay on this prime weekend. When we arrived at the hotel, they told us our reservation was cancelled for no show. You can understand our frustration at this point. After being upset, someone from the resort ended up helping us & accommodating us. When we got to the room we were disappointed as it wasn’t the room we originally paid for. When going back to the front desk they told us this was the room. We had about 10+ other people we knew staying at the resort & they had much better rooms & views. I also should disclose we booked 8 months ago which was one of the earliest out of our group. Overall the resort is beautiful, charming & convenient. I will however never book through & go directly through the hotel.

Very beautiful location, very comfortable rooms
Southernmost Resort is made up of numerous buildings, houses, etc. crossing several blocks and is adjacent to Duval Street. It is an easy scooter or bicycle ride to the famous Duval St. attractions. It has several swimming pools, beach access, seaside hammocks, numerous bars and a good restaurant. Our room was nicely appointed with comfortable, attractive, clean linens. We had an oceanfront room with a window seat and a GREAT view. There was a small balcony with chairs to enjoy the view. It was ideal for morning coffee or just reading a book. The shower was nice and had nice shampoo, conditioner and shower gel with a good shower head. The room also had a very nice, large Samsung TV which we enjoyed after a long day in the sun. The only negatives for the resort were expensive parking and resort fees on top of the already steep price. I was not expecting that. I would encourage anyone flying in directly to Key West to take a cab from the airport, then rent scooters directly across the street. The costs of the scooters is about the same as the parking expense and ideal for getting to the attractions as parking is hard to come by in town. I highly recommend the resort and would point out that the restaurant had a very nice menu with lots of options including many fit for foodies. Southernmost did its part to make Key West live up to its reputation.

Southernmost Beach Resort in JUNE
We got there and the views were breath taking and the resort was nice. The staff was friendly and the pool we hung out at most of the time was fantastic. The only issue about our stay was the smell. The seagassium that they call it, was terrible and made it very difficult to breath in. The locals had said this was the worst in a long time. Had we known about that we would have stayed on the Gulf side, as there was no smell and the beaches were usable. We had to go to the state park to use the beach, which wasn't what we planned on since we were right next to a public beach. Another bright side of Southernmost Beach Resort is the location and how quiet it is during the evening. If you want to be away from the noise, then this is the spot. A recommendation I would throw out there is if you plan on being out as much as we did, I wouldn't have spent the extra on a Partial Ocean View and saved some money. The view was OK, but the smell was so bad we didn't use our balcony, nor would we have since our room was used for sleeping.
