We were placed on the first floor which wasn’t ideal to me but hey someone has to stay there right? My biggest issue when we first walked in was a water stained lamp shade which they replaced immediately so it was a nonissue. What I didn’t like however was that they charge you a resort fee but barely give you anything for it. They place alllll these minibar and snack items on your desk that are overly priced including THE COFFEE. I understand the fridge but the desk? And what hotel charges you to drink the coffee? I didn’t even notice it was on the list until after I drank two cups and got charged $5 just for coffee. Their continental breakfast is actually continental which almost nobody does anymore. I just grabbed a coffee and hit up Ocean Drive for a real meal. The walls are also paper thin and the guys next to us were insanely loud in the morning. We really didn’t spend much time in the room but the pros were that the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom clean and the closet spacious enough. I’m not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. I stayed here before their renovations and loved it but now it’s just beautiful without much given to the consumer. South Beach hotels seem to be lacking in catering to the consumer. They’re more focused on making money. I’m just used to a more hospitable hotel experience.

    Poor 2.0
Let’s start from the beginning, when I checked in the young lady was very nonchalant, rude, and told me out her own mouth after I’ve booked room weeks ahead that because I didn’t have a credit card with a chip I’m not allowed too check in and there’s no other options . I asked too speak too the manager or if she could help me out a little more because I traveled hours too Miami. She told me sorry I’m not helping you . I figured everything out on my own after 2 hours passed and it was almost 1 in the morning! I ended up checking in and after a few days I called the front desk and ask if they could service the room. I needed clean wash clothes and towels. One of there staff came and banged on the door extremely loud and tossed one small towel threw the door. I kindly ask if she could pick it up and come in and service the room. She told me she’ll do it later ! The staff was very racist due to me being African American. They treated all the whites and other cultures besides darker skin with respect and dignity ! They told me the pool was closed and when I went too take a look for myself the pool was open and their were plenty of people there skin complexion in the pool . When I said something they then changed the mind and said “ you can get in the pool at 5:30 “ I’m guessing once the pool was cleared out . They held our luggage And when I received my bags back they were all ripped up with clothes hanging out completely destroyed ! This was the worst stay ever !!!!!!!

More like 3* hotel but good location at least
Photos on every website of this hotel not exactly accurate moved rooms, 1st room on main st heard every siren cop car and passer by couldnt swing a cat in it 2nd room more spacious however windows blocked out so never knew what the weather was like and homeless sleeping outside woken every morning at 6.30am by garbage trucks and delievery vehicles there is no ipod dock tea making facility molton brown products or slippers in room as advertised, hall ways and lifts are grubby 1st impressions aweful, there was no restaurant or bar everything seemed to be under construction terreace closed pool a little bit bigger than my bath deepest part 4ft 6 dirty and had a sign up no diving!seriously!when went to sit at pool area we were disrubted by more work men bring in pallets of stock back and forward back and forward, this is where you also had to have your breakfast on plastic plates with plastic knives and forks,no info visible in lobby on activities or things to do staff not very forth coming with information,2 sun loungers provided on the beach again given wrong info told to go to blue and white striped umbrellas had just got comfy when told to move to blue ones thank god boucher man was nice and said we could stay but we were then asked did we want the umbrella i laughed and said of course he said that will be 20$ not made aware of that either should be complimentry considering state of pool.will not be recommending this hotel in the future.

Although this ended up being a comfortable stay and a short walk to the beach & restaurants, we were extremely disappointed overall. Three mature girlfriends on a short spring break trip looking for a relaxing few days...from the moment we walked in, the staff was extremely cold and condescending, assuming we were some young immature girls. Gabby at the front desk could not even crack a smile or offer us any sort of comfort or hospitality. Free breakfast at the restaurant was tiny and mediocre, not to mention the extremely cold and unfriendly wait staff most of the days. Our room was fine, a bit small but did what we needed since we spent most of the day out on the service came at inconvenient times though as we were just coming back to the room at the end of the day...pool is tiny and had some trash floating in it, didn't seem like it was kept up very nicely. Overall, quite disappointing as we were nothing but respectful and friendly and were treated quite the opposite. Not to mention we were lucky we got such a good deal from bundling this trip because there is no way this hotel is worth the normal price they charge. Need to seriously work on their customer service, especially Gabby at the front desk (being the first person you talk to when you walk in).

Ok looking hotel but it lacks some basic amenities that even less expensive hotels offer free of charge even though this hotel charges a higher "resort fee" and $300 at check in for "incidentals": -no courtesy coffee or water in rooms nor common areas, you'd have to pay $2 for a coffee pod and $4 for a small bottle of water, -no microwave to reheat your dinner leftovers, -no mini refrigerator to keep your food, water or desserts, only a cooler full of the stuff they want to sell you, -not a flat space to accommodate your toiletries, make up, grooming necessities, et c, the only flat surface is overtaken by the coffee maker and cups to make the coffee they want to sell you, glasses, and by a large tray full of more stuff they want you to buy, -not even a luggage rack, there's a big armoire but because the space is to tight and uncomfortable to open the doors or drawers we had to keep everything in our carry ons closed in a corner and putting them up and down from the beds whenever we needed clothing or anything else, -no space in the bathroom for your grooming supplies, they could've easily make some room for this instead of making a ridiculously useless wide shower space, -
