Outdated 80s style place, but on a wonderful location next to the river.

It's a little dated but beds are comfortable and clean. And although it was 90°F, an open window and the supplied fan kept the room reasonably cool! Nice people at the front desk, too. Perfectly good for a night or two!

Beautiful Location

Location was right on the waterfront and had a beautiful view. There was probably a 5-10 minute walk to find food other than the hotel restaurant - which seemed nice, we just didn't want to eat there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location was excellent. View to the Rhine through the trees was lovely but the room lacked air conditioning on a hot day.

Nice location, rooms need update

Great location and breakfast, rooms are a bit outdated. Bathrooms are old.

I thought that being part of NH this hotel would meet a minimum standard of quality. Unfortunately the room didn’t age well and needs remodeling and maintenance, especially in the bathroom. Very disappointing. The view on the Rhine River was spectacular though.

Much better than the reviews suggest

I'm not sure what all the complaints are about regarding this hotel. Maybe the rooms differ in quality and updating, but ours was fine. It was certainly a huge step up from the traditional accommodation typical in these small towns. The location was great, too. My only criticism is the lack of air conditioning (standing fan is provided) and the crazy price for breakfast, which we obviously declined (who would pay 20 euros per person for breakfast in Germany?!)

Great & knowledgable staff! The only thing was the amount of DUST BUNNIES throughout the room. 2 actual fans were in the room but we couldn't get them apart to clean the blades.

Ladies at the counter were so helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. I love that there is an electric teapot for tea and coffee. There is also a minibar. There is a towel drier which was great for clothes you hand wash. There is a website to order things you might need, like pillow, tea bags, extra towels. Simple to use and very convenient. Walking to the hotel from the train station was a little difficult, but only because we didn't know where we were going. The location of the hotel is amazing. The breakfast buffet costs more than we would normally pay (22E) but there aren't Breakfast places near there and the breakfast and staff were amazing. The variety of options were more than I have ever seen in any hotel including omlets made to order. The dining room was a beautiful location with beautiful views of the river. I would definitely stay here again.

As a worldwide traveler and reviewer, I am very impressed! We arrived at 08.00. The Hotel had previously communicated a 15.00 check in but, that they would do their best to allocate a room earlier if possible. As it turned out, this was not possible on arrival however, they safely stored our baggage until we returned at 13.30 by which hour, they had readied a room for us to occupy. We paid a small additional fee for a balcony which, afforded us a good air flow as, the rooms are NOT air conditioned however, do have an oscillating tower fan. The room was spotless. Well furnished and with smart TV, Bathroom with a bath tub and overhead shower (Water temperature excellent) as well as a mini safe, kettle with tea bags and coffee and finally, a welcome bottle of water. By the way, the hotel does provide drinks for the mini bar to be provided upon request. We cannot vouch for the breakfast as we did not book this to be provided. However, there is a nearby Bakery to have breakfast just a 5 minute walk away. The hotel does offer use of their Sauna for an additional €5 per person too. The lady receptionist was absolutely terrific as was he colleague later in the day. Friendly, attentive and informative too. YES! I do recommend this hotel to others.

This modern hotel was the highlight of our trip to Germany, mainly because of the staff, who were incredible—very facile with English and extremely helpful arranging tix for the Rhine River cruise (Bingen to St Goar), and rental bicycles for our ride back. The hotel was situated on the river, easily accessible, lots of parking, and absolutely fantastic in every way.

Great location and views, amenities not to par

Location on the Rhein was great, view from room was exceptional. No air conditioning in this hotel, on summer day room was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Fan was in the closet. Bathroom sink and toilet was in very poor condition, shower was so small you could barely move in it.
