Fantastic Hotel
This is the perfect NW Suburb hotel. It is right off of I-90 making it a quick jaunt to anywhere in the area. There are a number of restaurants right next to the hotel and the Barrington Arboretum (outside mall) is just down the street. This is my second time staying at this hotel and I will come back when I need to stay in the area.

Cold winter nights
Room was very cold, so the maintenance man brought us 2 heaters (we were in a suit). The hotel was booked full, but the bar and restaurant area was lacking in workers, and service was not very good. When we pulled out the hide-a-bed for the kids, the springs were broke, so I had to put the coffee table under it to keep the mattress from falling to the floor. The exercise room was very nice. The heat never did get fixed.

The rate should have alerted us...
Furnaces were not working properly at the hotel. I was there with a large group and nobody could get the heat to work properly in their respective rooms. Mgmt brought space heaters for a few people. Not enough for everyone. Hotel was packed and only two servers with a completely full bar/restaurant each night.

Great Hotel - Close to lots of attractions
Great Location near the Sears Center - we went in for a family trip to an event at the Sears Center, easy access to the interstate and several other areas. Lots to do right around the hotel - we had bad weather and didn't want to drive in the snow but we found plenty to do right by our hotel. The hotel itself was great - super clean - nice big rooms, friendly desk and cleaning staff. We did eat breakfast in the restaurant 3 days while we were there - the food was delicious - but the waitresses had little to be desired. They were downright rude - got there at 10:40 am - stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes with plenty of tables open - the waitress would ignore us when trying to get her attention. She was trying to force us to order the buffet, but we wanted to order off the breakfast menu - she said kitchen quits at 11 and they don't want to make breakfast - she made comments under her breath and slammed plates and was really rude to the older lady seated next to us. We thought maybe she was having a bad day - but she was exactly the same the next day.

Very Good8.0
I enjoyed my time at this hotel. Checking in was nice and simple. The guy who checked me in even stepped out from behind the table to show me where things were located. The parking lot was easy to get in & out from. The room was comfortable & nice. The only issue I had and it wasn't a major issue, but the WiFi for my room wasn't free when I tried to sign on. Like I said, it wasn't a major issue & I really didn't need the connection but since it was part of my room, it would've been nice to receive the password for it. Other than that, everything else was good.
