Underwhelming
I was in town for the Senior Olympics and many of my teammates were staying at hotels on Iliff Road. One of the first disappointments I found was that my room was minus a microwave. Apparently the one there had shorted out recently and had not yet been replaced. I was informed they probably did not have one to put in my room, but I was “more than welcome to use” the one in the breakfast area (which didn’t work well). I had to put something on the window ledge/drapes to completely block out the outside light, especially at night, since I was close to the back door and security light. The second day I came back to my room about 2pm and housekeeping had not yet been to my room. I waited in the breakfast area for at least 30 minutes until housekeeping could get to my room. On the third day housekeeping did not even come to my room. When I returned to the room after 7 PM, and advised the front desk, I was told there wasn’t anyone available at that time, and if I needed housekeeping, I needed to request it. My last full day there, one of the housekeepers had left her cleaning rag in the sink.

Poor 2.0
Economical but that's about it
Disappointed. The staff was friendly enough. Maybe we had the worst luck in the rooms? For some reason, we were given a smoking room when we prepaid for a nonsmoking room. It was changed to a non-smoking room but it was awful. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were just enough for one person (reservation was for two). The springs in the mattress felt like they were done with their life. If you slept too close to the edge, you might fall off. Towels were for one person. Almost no water pressure in shower. The room stunk like pesticide so we had to air it out but the smell got into our clothes and baggage. I found a dead tick on the ceiling. The carpet had nail polish stains and we were afraid to walk around without shoes because of the dead tick. We were offered another room but honestly we doubted anything could be improved. The breakfast was minimal but hey it's continental so no surprise. If you are avoiding smokers, this is not the hotel for you; you have to walk past smoking rooms in the hall to reach the lobby. The worst part was that the back door did not shut securely to the hallway. Considering the bad neighborhood, this was the most sketchy thing about this place. Well, that and the dead tick. We overpaid. I think sleeping in the car would have been better.

POOR SERVICE AT HOTEL
STAFF WAS NOT VERY FRIENDLY WHEN WE CHECKED IN. IT TOOK A VERY LONG TIME. I ASKED IF OUR ROOM HAD A FRIDGE BECAUSE WE PAID EXTRA AND HE SAID YES. WE DID NOT HAVE A FRIDGE AND CALLED AND HE TOLD US HE WAS BUSY TO CALL BACK LATER. WE WENT DOWN TO THE DESK AND THE YOUNG MAN TOLD US WE HAD TO TALK TO MANAGER THE NEXT MORNING THAT HE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. WE TOLD HIM WE DID NOT WANT TO CHANGE ROOMS BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO GET THERE MONEY BACK BECAUSE THEIR ROOM SMELLED LIKE URINE. I DID CALL HOTELS.COM IMMEDIATELY AND THEY MADE THINGS RIGHT IMMEDIATELY. WE DID SPEAK TO THE MANAGER NEXT MORNING AND TOLD US WE COULD LABEL OUR FOOD AND PUT IT IN THE OFFICE REFRIGERATOR. WE REFUSED AND KEPT OUR FOOD ON ICE THE ENTIRE 2 NIGHTS. NEVER AGAIN.

Need New Pics/NOT THIS HOTEL
My first room was so unclean (long black hairs on the bathroom floor, burn marks everywhere, the worst was the smell - like a dirty mop was used reeking of urine) I requested another room, unfortunately they were booked the only room available was a couple doors down and just and awful but smelled better. No screens or locks on windows, long black hairs all over bathroom. The young man (started with a D) tried to be as helpful and apologetic as possible, even offered to move around a reserved room. It was on the 2nd floor I'm disabled and after 10 hours on the road I just slept in my clothes. Decor extremely outdated needs lots of upgrades not just furniture or paint. Would not stay there again, overnight was enough. I'll keep driving next go round.

DO NOT STAY HERE
This place was the worst place I’ve ever almost stayed. We arrived and got checked in only to go up to a room with people already in it. Our other room’s shower didn’t work. We went down to desk only to find out that they have no other rooms. We booked through Hotels.com so we had to call customer service to get a refund that the manager was refusing to give us. The manager was the rudest person I’ve ever met. He didn’t know someone was even check-in to the room we were given and then yelled at the people for being in there. We finally were able to get the refund no thanks to him. After we let we went to the gas station next door to get gas and a car pulls up but they never get out and they pull off. They then come back speeding into the parking lot with their window down right next to us and we were able to pull of before anything happened. So not only was the service terrible the location was very dangerous.
