Great breakfast. If you want coffee in your room just ask and they have kettle etc. all ready. Hotel is just two stops on 4 tram lines from Central Station.

Very convenient, adjacent to biking/walking paths along a river, with an Oslo Bysykkel station beside the main entrance. On warm summer nights the room was uncomfortably hot with no ventilation system and a window that opened just a few centimetres. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet is superb!

Basi clean room bit cramped in bathroom toilet right next to shower door. Good location for major tourist attractions. No coffee or tea making facilities in room but you could ask for at reception. The coffee making machine at reception was out of order during our stay. Breakfast options very good . Due to our early flight we requested breakfast bag to go which was ready on time for colletion.

We stayed for three nights. It was hot for Norway, so the room was hot and poorly ventilated. There were also some municipal works on the street around 2–3 am, which was outrageous. However, we were offered the option of changing rooms to the other side of the building. The bathroom lacked space for cosmetics and for drying two sets of towels. Breakfast was OK, nothing special, but the tables were not properly cleaned, with crumbs and stickiness at times. If you are not familiar with the area, it can be unpleasant due to the organisations that help drug addicts being located nearby. Sometimes it felt unsafe, and we witnessed a couple being harassed in the street, so just be aware of that. The tram stop was right outside the hotel, which was very handy. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars.

Det er helt greit for en natt, god frokost. Renslighet midt på tre. Helt ok. Rommene har ikke air cond. Det var veldig varmt. Det er veldig mye støy ute fra. Bakgata Underground følelse. Mye narkotika miljø rundt hotellet. Service er veldig bra som nevnt frokosten også veldig bra. Personell også blid og hjelpsom.

Anker Hotel är ett bra hotell som ligger mycket fint och centralt i Oslo. Vi hade en bra vistelse på hotellet och tyckte att de fina rummen och frukosten stack ut. Jag är glad att vi inte bodde ännu mer centralt än så här. Området norr/väster om hotellet är mycket mysigt med flera trevliga restauranger och butiker. Inte säker på att vi hade besökt dem om vi bott ännu mer centralt. Det tar bara 5-10 minuter att gå till centralstationen och med tanke på hur nära det är och hur lugnt Anker Hotel ligger till i jämförelse tycker jag läget är oslagbart. Det finns några knepiga gator nära hotellet med personer som har det lite tuffare i livet, men absolut inget som fick oss att känna oss otrygga. Det enda negativa jag vill lyfta är att det blir otroligt varmt på rummen under varma sommardagar. Vi fick inte temperaturen att gå under 26 grader i rummet trots öppna fönster och att det inte var mer än 23 grader ute.
