Best Western Premier Shenzhen Felicity Hotel

The hotel is in walking distant from the border, though the one way traffic system would take a long way round in the taxi. facilities is good and staff are friendly. good value for money

This is an excellent choice if you are doing business (or shopping) in Shenzhen. It’s a 3 min walk from the Lo Wu / Lo Hua border - turn left out of the station and follow the Heping road sign, don’t walk straight ahead towards Shangri La as the hotel will then be behind the shopping arcade. The hotel is an older one and the room decor is a little dated but it’s clean with large rooms. The lobby is large with a cafe and a nice relaxed feel and it has various useful facilities such as an ATM and a 7 Eleven in the main reception. The Wi-Fi is decently fast and you can accesss Google/Facebook as it seems to come from HK. The staff are excellent and would definately stay there again. The only thing lacking is tea/coffee in the room (there is a kettle) but you can buy anything you need at the 7 Eleven.

Unfortunately I arrived when the hotel was going through major refurbishment and having breakfast when pneumatic drills are in use is not ideal. W Jen completed it will be a very nice hotel once again.

not the first time i’m staying at this hotel, high value for the overall deal considering the price versus the facilities of the hotel, minor improvement suggested is to install electric sockets near the bed for the sake of convenience. One deep minus for this booking. I checked in at midnight 1am while being considerably tired and sleepy. However, the reception couldn’t locate my booking with the booking no. I’ve provided. They took quite a while to process my check in and, to my surprise they doubled my deposit from CNY 500 to CNY1000 and that’s more than double of the price I paid for the room. Their staff claimed it as not an issue cause the deposit will be fully refunded at check out but i felt deeply offended with the low efficiency of service and fairness of treatment experienced.
