About Hotel Via Augusta

Stylish Barcelona budget hotel with free WiFi, Gràcia area

Close to transportation

In the hub of Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood, a bohemian center for artists, Hotel Via Augusta is a 2-minute walk from Gràcia Metro Station and 6 minutes from Fontana. Both stations can take you downtown within 20 minutes, while Las Ramblas boulevard is a 34-minute walk.

Gaudi's masterpieces

You can walk for 7 minutes to the cafés, international restaurants, and lively bars of Plaça de Sol, or take a 20-minute metro ride to Antoni Gaudí's famously unfinished Sagrada Família basilica. For more of Gaudí's eye-popping work, you can walk 24 minutes to Parc Güell.

Breakfast, rooftop views

You can get the day started with a breakfast buffet that includes a wide variety of local and continental fare. For an afternoon break, you can marvel at the city's urban splendor from the rooftop terrace, or unwind in the lounge with an international newspaper.

Spacious, free WiFi

The air-conditioned rooms have free WiFi and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Natural wood furnishings and hardwood floors create a warm atmosphere, while the soft neutral tones of the bedding and curtains give the spacious rooms a sense of lightness.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in Gracia. Hotel was spotless. The room was quite small but big enough, you'll spend most of your time out exploring. Great location - footsteps away from a bakery where we picked up breakfast every morning before catching the metro. Short walk to the main restaurants in Gracia for amazing tapas. Would recommend Via Augusta.

week in may
stayed a week, the hotel staff were very good especially the maids, room wise the double room was ok,king sized bed(good),wardrobe, safe, dressing table,chair,TV,air-con,balcony not so good but that's the hotel layout,en-suite had a sink, toilet & shower and this is where it fell down-you will see from my picture the shower screen doesn't fill the opening and water escapes onto the floor and makes its way round to the wooden door where over a period of time its rotted it away-they obviously know about this but don't seem to want to do anything about it-you'll see shower leaks mentioned in other reviews. Didn't manage to get onto the roof terrace as it was locked both times I tried & we didn't take the buffet breakfast at 9 euros each (packet of cornflakes,a few cartons of UHT milk and some plastic bowls/spoons ;0) which kept us going till dinner time) The City tax is added onto the final bill at about 1.50 euros a day Overall I'd have no problem with returning to this Hotel but wish they'd sort out the shower.

Nice hotel outside touristic area
The first impression was not good because the lobby was realy tiny almost non-existent, it looks like a part of it was clsed for remodeling. But the girl behind the front desk was very welcoming, she even provided an early check-in which was very much appreciated after a 9 hours flight. Metro station is next door, very convenient

It's ok..
The room was different from the pictures of hotels.com.. they gave me a room without window then I paid per day extra 11 Euro for room with balcony. I didn't need balcony but it was important a room with Window.

Cozy and Perfect
Single room was just the right size for what I needed. Also the view was pretty great from the 9th floor. The walls are thin so to be honest you can hear everything from your neighbors and outside of course. But this is to be expected in older buildings and only slightly bothersome if you are trying the sleep and your neighbors are having a party. Of course the hotel staff can address this. :) Other than that my stay was perfect and wonderful and I would definitely stay here again!!!
