Polite staff. Hotel under construction, but it was OK. My neighbours had sex, I could tell she really enjoyed it. I just wish I was asked to join them :) Breakfast cool. Uphill.

Stay elsewhere, it will definitely be better !
No hot water so had to endure a freezing cold shower. Shower cubicle very small & curtain touching you - I am not large ! Very old and unclean looking shower. Noisy radiator that banged & vibrated so disturbed our sleep. Pillows are well past their date. I’m not sure they can call the bacon ‘bacon’. It reminded me of a children’s Winder sweetie that was rolled out flat. Receptionist at check in was friendly and helpful, only good point apart from the location. I would not recommend this to anyone, everything seemed to be broken and I don’t think they can blame it all on the refurbishment.

Very good 8.0
Clean, comfortable budget hotel in city centre.
Good value hotel. It was being refurbished during my stay so the stairways were a bit of a mess but there were signs up stating that all carpets will be replaced following the refurbishment, so no real complaints from me about that. Breakfast was included and was good for a budget hotel with a basic choice of cerials, toasts and fully cooked breakfasts, with good ground coffee from the coffee machine. My room was comfortable and clean enough although unfortunately the couple in the room next door woke me up and kept me awake for about 1/2 hour when they came in very late at night talking loudly. Not really the hotel's fault. I would stay again if booking a room on a budget as for the price it was pretty good value.
