Poor 2.0
Worst and most expensive hotel I have stayed in
I visited here with my sister, for a very rare getaway. We booked one of the studio rooms (which was the same price as a double room) we didn't realise this was in a separate building to the normal rooms (totally my fault, they do say this, but hard to see through the app), so when we got there we asked if we could swap, they said we could, for an additional £20. We decided to stick with the studio as the room already cost £150 for the night. The studio was small and SO LOUD! There was only single glazing, and it backed onto some of the music venues/pubs, so very loud from there, and then there was a hen party in the room above us. We went to say something about the noise, and they just told us there was a hen party going on. We didn't get to sleep until the early hours of the morning. After barely sleeping in our expensive bed, we were hoping there would at least be a nice breakfast (which we had paid £10 each more for!) - nope, slightly cold buffet food (featuring overcooked eggs and tepid sausages), that we couldn't face eating. I booked this option because it had a pool/spa, but that was also a huge disappointment, very small and very busy with a weird layout so you have to walk through the gym from the very small pool to the sauna (beware the photos which are not representative). Stay away - this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and also probably the most expensive.

The heater was turned off in the middle of the night during our two-day stay. Though they sent a portable heater to us right away but it was not as good as the central heater. Dibt kbow why they did that. The building is very old and the toiet is a bit shaby.

Brighton in a Gale
Our Stay at the Queens Hotel over the Last Weekend was overall very Enjoyable . Every Member of staff could not have done any more for us. We did have a small problem in our room ( 316 ) with a Bath tap that no matter how far you turned it off , it was constantly running ,It was reported to the maid but alas nothing was done, Especially as it says in the Bathroom please be careful with the water as we are in the dryest part of the country .It would also have been nice to Have an upgrade on the Tv so that we could have recieved Sky . One other small point , I fully understand this is a building of over 200 years old but it would be nice if the window Latches were able to close and secure properly .

Great hotel, shame about the noise
Great room, spacious and clean. But the noise was terrible, we were in the 1st floor and noise from clobbers outside didn’t seem to stop from 2-5am. Could do with being double glazed as the street noise was not reduced at all. Although we didn’t stay at the weekend it was Halloween and I expect that explains the noise.
