Nice stay at Courtyard by Marriott Brookline, very convenient, helpful staff.

Small things need changed. The room chair should face the TV. The mirror on the wall should be lowered so you can actually look into it. A large shard of glass was found on the bathroom floor. I tried to buy an item from the lobby store and they could not find the price so I could not purchase what was for sale. I needed an extra comforter to be warm. Otherwise people were friendly. It seemed safe. I liked the newspapers and cookies in the lobby. It seemed quite standard.

Ok Hotel. Don't Use their Parking Service
Stay was fine. They charged us for 3 days of parking when we told them we were going to park just one night. Called them to fix this and they said they'd reverse the extra-charges. After 2 weeks nothing has been reversed.

Expensive for the quality
Expensive for the quality. Room was old and dark. Bathroom was newly renovated and nice. TV etc great. But the room was dark and dismal with a view of a stone outcrop from catycorner bldg.

safe area convenient to BU and other colleges
Generally, this was a good place to stay. My only gripe is that the room we had was right above the hotel HVAC, and we heard a lot of noise from it. They probably would have moved us somewhere else had we asked, but admittedly, we didn't ask. Very slow service at the coffee shop and bar. More than once, we gave up on them and went elsewhere. Other than that, it was pretty much everything one can expect from a Marriott. Room was in excellent shape other than what appeared to be a burned place on a foot stool. Beds were very comfortable and made up with impeccably clean and white linens. Lobby is very inviting. Desk staff very pleasant and helpful. The location is fantastic. Very convenient to the C trains for the Green Line, and a very walkable neighborhood with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
