safe area convenient to BU and other colleges
Generally, this was a good place to stay. My only gripe is that the room we had was right above the hotel HVAC, and we heard a lot of noise from it. They probably would have moved us somewhere else had we asked, but admittedly, we didn't ask. Very slow service at the coffee shop and bar. More than once, we gave up on them and went elsewhere. Other than that, it was pretty much everything one can expect from a Marriott. Room was in excellent shape other than what appeared to be a burned place on a foot stool. Beds were very comfortable and made up with impeccably clean and white linens. Lobby is very inviting. Desk staff very pleasant and helpful. The location is fantastic. Very convenient to the C trains for the Green Line, and a very walkable neighborhood with plenty of shopping and restaurants.

Horrible experience
we stayed on the 6th floor and the carpets looked 100 years old and were stained and dirty. The television didn't work and our door knob was broken and we could not close the door. The safe was so high in the closet we couldn't use it (i'm short). I heard a dog parking all night. My biggest hotel pet peeve (after carpet in the room- which they had and shower curtain in stead of door- which they had) was when you ask for extra towels and they bring them and then when they replenish them, they don't replenish them with the same amount of combined towels. Therefore you have to ask again and then tip again, plus tip the man that fixed the door. with all of the tips combined with the already high amount I paid for the hotel, i could have stayed at the Ritz.

Parking should be included as the cost for staying here is high. It’s not in Boston but outside.

Super dark rooms, have no ceiling lamps so you pretty much have to turn on ALL small lights in the room. Even so, its not really bright in the room. The AC is loud and tired, my room was never cooled properly and that plus heavy blankets are not a good combo for a goodnights sleep. My room was super dusty the whole stay, called to report it and the staff fixed it. The toilet was not properly fixed to the floor so it wiggled a bit. Overall, very average hotel. The only plus, its location.
