Prince Palace
My 4th time to stay at the Prince Palace. Grand and a little old fashioned. Nothing wrong with that. Great breakfast buffet and very good service. As it is constructed on high ground there is always a cool breeze and great views, especially from the very pleasant garden, pool and bar area on the 11th floor. Very good markets nearby. Much cheaper than, for example, Khao San road.

Prince palace hotel
This hotel is ideal for a family of five, if you can get the price right, keep looking even on the same site and you can get a cheaper price. we had a two bedroom suite , with breakfast for three nights for around £200. The swimming pool up stairs is big and is never busy. Pool bar restaurant has very good food but Is really expensive. Downside is the rooms could do with updating and be better cleaned. One of our kids blocked the toilet so my wife called reception and was told to get a plumber! After going downstairs and talking to them they said the lady I spoke to was new. Would stay again.

Good for the price
If you don't mind a bit of rough around the edges and aren't looking to walk around from place to place then it's ok. You'll need a tuk tuk to get around as not much around the hotel. Though we found a great market only for locals that sold the best food. They were hospitable and warm.
