    Terrible smells - even after changing rooms
    The first room we walked in, the smell took your breath away. We were so exhausted and we’re only staying one night so we got our kid in the shower quick thinking we could make it work. The smell became so overwhelming that it was unbearable. Went to the service counter and were given a new room. This room appeared better, so we switched... but in the middle of the night this room began to have the same musty damp smell... maybe something with the air ducts? We didn’t even stay for breakfast because we wanted out of there so badly. The original front desk gal (Kelsey) was very sweet and nice. When checking out I whispered to the manager (or who I thought appeared to be a manager) about the smell and she didn’t seem concerned as she just said she would tell someone... a discount might have been nice, but we were just happy to leave. I do not recommend staying here!

    Rude Front Desk Clerk
    The 2 rooms were comfortable and clean. What made the stay HORRIBLE was the attitude of the front desk clerk, Ashley. We got in after midnight Tuesday but wanted to get breakfast so I went down to the lounge at 8:30 am. Breakfast is posted as 6am to 9am on Wednesdays. There was 8 other guest eating at the time. I went to the buffet and there were NO eggs or biscuits. There wasn't a person working the breakfast so my employee went to the front desk and ask for more breakfast to be put out. Ashley did not acknowledge his request except with "you'll have to give me a minute" while not even looking at him. About 2 minutes later she proceeds to STOMP thru the lounge and into the prep area; clearly agitated. A few moments later she comes out and says it will be 4 more minutes. At 8:55am (25 mins waiting) Cleaning staff arrived. I sat and watched the 2 women go to the prep area and fill their plates with eggs and biscuits (before putting any more out for guests). The older lady asked Ashley if she needed to put the biscuits out and Ashley replied "You better before they have a hissy fit." I then confronted Ashley and told her we waited 25 minutes for more breakfast and that no one was having a hissy fit. She proceeded to argue back with me as though there was justification for her attitude and lack of customer service. The whole situation was inappropriate and uncalled for. I have blacklisted this hotel for my company. There are many other choices in the area.

    Best western awesome, hotel.Com bad
    The stay was great. My daughter ended up getting sick so the bedding was not good. I went down and explained what happened and they were very kind and understanding which they got us new linens. The staff was awesome, food was okay. Only thing I was upset with is Hotel.Com overcharged us by $50 compared to the price I would have got at the hotel. So I will never book with hotel.Com ever again

    Big disappointment
    Very disappointed in this hotel stay. Booked last minute based on good reviews. Not impressed whatsoever. The hotel receptionist did not have our room ready because there was an issue with our booking through We were asked to wait in the lobby and it took over 30 minutes for her to get things worked out. She also stopped her efforts to help other customers who came in during that time. The air conditioning in the room did not work, and when I called the receptionist (same girl), she said she would be up to look at it immediately. We waited over 30 minutes and called back and said we wanted to be moved to a different room. The hotel rooms smelled musty and some of the towels were stained. The “hot” breakfast was lukewarm and very picked over by 830 am. The mattresses were unimpressive and the WiFi has a poor connection. I have always trusted best western and have normally had good experiences but this was a major let down, especially for the price.

    Please spring clean for smoker's residue
    If you are allergic to cigarette smoke residue, don't stay here. We had to change our first room because it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and mildew. The second room had a lighter smell of cigarette smoke, but we stayed because we didn't want to keep going from room to room and at least it didn't smell like mildew. The staff were pleasant to deal with even though we wanted to change. It got better the next night because we purchased a car deodorizer and put it in front of the air conditioner. I know you can't keep people from smoking in the rooms even though it is a smoke-free hotel, but we were able to make big improvements with very little effort, so I would suggest the hotel do some spring cleaning to get rid of residue from the past. It may be that the staff aren't able to smell it themselves, because just about everyone of them we saw working there, we saw out in the front taking smoke breaks. Otherwise, it was very clean and the house-keeping staff were not only very polite but did a good job of cleaning our room.
