Wonderful family owned hotel
Located on a small side street but right in the middle of the Inner Stadt. Lovely people, very helpful, friendly and well informed. The rooms are fine as are the baths. The breakfast buffet is amazing (as it is in most of Austria) and the little bar downstairs is a welcome place to relax at night. The bartender is usually the bellman/handyman so keep your orders simple! For red wine drinkers the the Zweigelt is inexpensive and quite good. There is construction up the block a bit but with windows closed it was never a problem. We've been in hotels in 74 countries and Island Nations and have never found a hotel staff friendlier, more helpful and delightful. Our last day our rental car wouldn't start (dead battery it turns out). The front desk staff did everything they could to help, calling the US, Austria and Italy to no avail and finally got the Auto Club of Austria for us who came quickly (on a Sunday!) and jump started the car.My wife was offered coffee in their lobby while I ran around. Wonderful people. Also met a lot of interesting people in the bar from Hamburg, Canberra, Cologne, Moscow (Russia, not Idaho), the Philippines and England.

Very nice hotel, helpful staff, great breakfast
The location is great, a few minutes walk from a bus stop, city center, shops, and restaurants, but on the quiet side of the town. Free and fast WiFi, each room has a fridge, AC, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer. The amenities they offer was great, included everything we need, except a toothbrush, but we all carry one when travel, so no issue. This hotel was the only hotel in Austria (we stayed at 4 different hotels) that had the conditioner for us. It was a bid deal for us since we all have long hair and can not carry liquid on the plane, it was very helpful. Not all rooms have a bath tub, was not an issue for us. Room is spacious enough and very clean. The breakfast spread was amazing. We would definitely stay here again. One thing to note - as of August 2017, there is an apartment construction going on across the street from the hotel but since we did not stay in the hotel during the day, it was fine with us. If you are worried about the construction noise during the day, ask for a room away from the main entrance. The ear-plugs are included in the amenities, too. And you will have delicious chocolates in your room when you check in, nice service.

Very good 8.0
Well located hotel and amazing breakfast
This is a nice hotel, well located in the Touristic area of Wien, yet not completely on the tourist track which leaves you off the overcrowded Stephanplatz, but still 10 mins walk from it if this is what you are looking for. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very nice as it is the normally the case in Austria. The only down point I might had is that although I was staying there for 5nights, I was put in a room that was not refurbished and felt a bit old while compared with the room below mine with wooden floors. No doubt the room was comfortable, but for those who might expect rooms looking like the hall, they might be disappointed. That said, everything worked well and you will spend much more time outside your room than outside and the bed is comfortable. Note however that there is a building site in front, which starts rather early (7:00 you can hear the crane in front). They are not hiding the problem as they offer discount at the bar. That said, I would have thought they could be a bit more generous by lowering the price of the rooms week days, especially if one stays 5 nights. I recommend to stay there, it is a nice place and well located.

Everything was excellent at the hotel. I had connected with the hotel prior for Airport Pick-up and a gentleman was there with a sign and they also booked a return car to the airport. Location, Location great spot to walk to many places. Just on a side street but 5-10 to Café Central, Graben Street, Max 15 mins to The Hofburg Palace, Albertina etc.... We even walked to the Belvedere Palace, Opera House, Naschmarkt and many more places. The Room was comfortable even so they were single beds and nice linens. The room was actually bigger than the pictures. You truly are not in your room much anyways. Bathroom had all the toiletries you would need and decent quality. They had construction across the street but none was going on when there but provided ear plugs and apologized. Chocolate on pillow and on a side table with a water. Also, while there the little bar they have in the lobby had discounted drinks due to construction. Front desk was always helpful day and night. Very friendly as well. Breakfast was fantastic with something for everyone Breads, loafs, croissants, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, sliced meat, cut fruit and fresh, veggies, pate, juices, jams, honey, yogurt, granolas, Persco (white & rose) 8-10 teas, etc.... I would book the hotel again for a return trip nothing but a positive experience. Read many reviews and settled on Hotel Das Tigras so glad we did.

Lovely little hotel!
The hotel is in the InnereStadt- 5 minute walk from Hofburg Palace and 10 minute from Stephensdom. The room was amazing. We stayed in Don Giovanni suite- it is more spacious than it appears in the photos: separate living area, large bathroom, sauna, two TVs, mini bar which contains different sets of glasses/mugs and Nespresso machine/electric kettle so you can have champagne, espresso, tea or any other kind of drink in your room. And this is just one example of the great attention to details in this hotel- Cd player so you can listen to DonGiovanni Opera in your room ( CDs provided), pillows of different size/firmness so you can be sure to find the right one, big dispensers with body wash and shampoo so you do not have to open x number of small containers while showering, personal welcome note, plus the ear plugs to protect you from the noise from the construction site across the street. We did not need the ear plugs though- there was no noise, dust, or street closure- the taxi brought us right to the hotel entrance. Breakfast buffet is great, staff is pleasant and helpful. We will definitely return to Das Tigra if we visit Vienna again.
