The receptionists were not friendly definitely not 'people person'. Very stern looking and no smile at all. Room was clean and comfortable. The Selera where breakfast was served was understaffed, few are inexperienced. One oustanding staff by the name of Raluca was very efficient and keep apologizing for the delay in replenishing the food and tried her level best to expediate the process.

Dissatisfied
London was extremely hot and I thought the rooms were air conditioned. Apparently some are others are not . We had asked for a fan that never came and they were very nonchalant about it. We had to buy adapters as they were always out . I did not like the service and I’m quite sure I won’t be returning.

OK for solo or business, otherwise avoid.
The apartment had a bedroom with twin beds (despite booking a double) a living room with sofa bed set up, a kitchen off the living room and a bathroom off the kitchen. Having stayed here a couple of times, I was prepared for some problems with the room that I would need to work around or put up with, but this time it was pretty bad. The bedroom was incredibly noisy due to being directly under the main corridor so there was a lot of noise of people walking up and down that kept me awake into the early hours of the morning. I couldn't sleep on the sofa bed because it felt like a single sheet had been spread over solid wood. Even sitting on it for more than a couple of minutes was painful. I asked for something to be done and they offered to add a topper to the sofa bed. After this turned out to be a too-small duvet which did nothing to stop it being painful and just made it a bit lumpy, I lost patience and moved one of the twin bed mattresses into the other room myself. I was there on my own on business, so I could put up with this, but if I had booked this for a holiday, I would have needed a new apartment or I would have asked for a refund and looked for somewhere else. Apartments in London do tend to be a bit shabbier or have one or two problems with them, so you learn to put up with a lot. This was too much though, and made worse by very poor wifi signal and no phone signal at all. Very disappointed.

OK for a business trip, not for a romantic break.
I've stayed here a few times now and each time found there were minor inconveniences. It's very much pot luck what room you will get and what issues you will find. The staff do their best but ultimately they aren't usually much help. On this stay, the problem was an incredibly hot kitchen, due to the window being very much a sun trap and the heating being on when I arrived. The separate bedroom was much cooler and had a ceiling fan (though not any air conditioning). The heat problem was made worse by the fact that the bedroom had very exposed, overlooked windows so anyone could see in very easily. I had to keep the curtains permanently closed while I was in there for any kind of privacy. Staying on business, these things aren't dealbreakers. They aren't good, but I can put up with them for a short trip but if I had paid for the room out of my own pocket for a holiday I would have been very disappointed at the price I paid. The area is nice enough, it's easy to get to Hyde Park for a run and there are decent supermarkets close by.
