Great Hotel, Beware of Hidden Charges
On arrival be ready with your credit card as they require a £50 deposit, what this is for I have no idea as the hotel has no bar or anything else I could place any cost on the room. But the real surprise was yet to come, 30 minutes after checking in I receive a call to inform me that there will be a £55 per night charge for the extra bed in the room, this was a major shock considering I paid for the room in full over 12 months previously for 2x adults & 1x child. I was very angry that what I was conned at the time of booking as it was obvious they never gave me the full price and instead prefer to add extra's on your arrival. The good news is that after complaining to the hotel and Expedia, the hotel agreed to drop the extra charges. The hidden charges & deposit aside, the studio apartment was in a fantastic location. 2 minutes walk to Liverpool Street station, and many shops, etc within walking distance. The studio itself was in good condition, the extra bed took up a bit of walking space but OK for a short stay. Plenty of facilities in the room, and a good base for visiting London. My wife & daughter did point out that there were no plug sockets near a mirror, made it difficult when doing there hair, so beware ladies. I would recommend the hotel, purely for the location, but make sure you double check if what you are being charged is the final cost or if any additional charges will be applied on arrival.

Poor 2.0
Unfortunately I was disappointment with this property. Upon arriving, we were not given the penthouse room that we booked and paid for 3 months in advance. We were told that we couldn't switch because the penthouse was already booked. Not sure how that is possible when we booked and paid for it 3 months earlier. Then next morning when my family and I tried to take showers to start our day, we only had hot water for one shower. After asking about the lack of hot water issue, the reception did call back and say other family members could shower in an empty room which they did. Thankfully we were able to do that but it was quite an inconvenience. Then we needed to do more laundry (this was one of the reasons why we booked this place - laundry washer/dryer in unit) and we didn't have any laundry soap. Reception didn't know where to find the soap to give us since it was the weekend and housekeeping didn't work on the weekends (given this we also didn't have clean towels so we had to call down). The area was really noisy and the layout of the apartment was not great. There were so many heavy doors that we couldn't prop open that blocked off every room so the entire place was felt a bit like a prison. The only positive is that this place was located right across the street from the tube station. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent location!
We chose this apartment because of its location across the street from Liverpool Street Station. It was the center of everything we wanted to see in London over 4 days. We walked all over the city, took a bike tour that started in Southwark, walked to the Cathedral, Tower of London, River Thames. Then accessed everything else with the Tube at Liverpool Street. For a special occasion, make reservations at Duck and Waffle before your trip. It's amazing! There was a rare heat wave during our June visit, so the bedrooms were warm and a bit uncomfortable (but quiet). They provided a fan but windows only opened a bit. The apartment was segmented into three rooms (two bedrooms, a narrow hall and main living/kitchen). The main area was air conditioned and open for sitting and convening (there were 5 in our group and we rented a cot). So if you opened the doors to the hall, it did cool down the rest of the apartment. We used combo washer/dryer provided. Our adult sons enjoyed the excitement of the area at all hours of the day/night and we enjoyed the central location. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Apartment has been used by travelers and was a bit tired, but for the price, it was clean, comfortable, a good location for a London visit.

Orbitz reviews got it wrong this time!
I have to premise this review with the fact that I hardly ever write negative reviews, but this one could not go by with no warning to potential customers. The pros: Large, spacious apartment. Rooms are acceptably clean (with exception to bathroom which leaves much to be desired). The cons: Unless you like cold showers, don't book here! We took showers very late at night and all of us endured cold showers. We hoped for warm water in the morning, but no luck! The bathroom is disgusting. We are world travelers who have stayed at both high end and low end spectrum of hotels. Last year we went to a charity mission in Vietnam last year. The bathroom at this hotel reminded me of the bathrooms in Vietnam hotels, even though we paid $500+ per night for 196 Bishipsgate and only $35 for Vietnam hotels. We booked this room specifically for the in-suite laundry machine, which broken down after only one load of laundry. We paid extra for a roll-away bed. Just looking at it, you see the lumpy coils bulging through the thin mattress. It was so uncomfortable, we managed to squeeze 3 ppl in one of the queen beds and didn't bother with the roll-away which we paid extra for. The construction of this hotel is very odd. The living and dining space had no in-ceiling lighting. Only two floor lamps, one of which wasn't working. So, we sat in the living room and dining room eating our food in the dark. the "TV" is only a monitor with a DVD. So unless you bring your own DVD, forget about it

Lovely Apartment but.....
I had high hopes for this place as it was on the expensive side. We were in Apartment 403 on the fourth floor. The apartment itself is lovely. A few things though: it could do with new windows as it was very very noisy. At the moment you are opposite building works. So in the living room it is constant noise. In the lower bedroom you are above some kind of air conditioning so that’s all you can hear on a night. The bedroom on the upper floor must have been recently painted because it smelt of fresh paint. Also, the blinds didn’t fit the windows, so as soon as you turned off the bedroom room light, the light from outside shone straight through. The shower was built for a very small person - I’m 5ft 4inches and I had to hunch - which wasn’t good for my 6ft 1inch hubby. As I said it’s a lovely apartment but some things just let it down.
