Great breakfast, staff, and location
Great location next to the Luas and Busáras for tram and bus services. The staff were great and the breakfast was really good for the money. The hotel has a bar and the barman was very helpful, even though it was busy with world cup match he coped with ease; brilliant. There can be a wee bit of noise from trains and the dart out of Connolly station in the morning but it ain't a major issue unless your very picky; and if you want it dead quiet then Dublin probably ain't the place for you to go. We had to catch the early boat from ferry port; the staff did an early morning call and arranged a taxi for us. It is always better to use a taxi as the buses ain't that good first thing in the morning.

Great location / shame about the noise
The location was great for getting around but the local area is a bit run down and the hotel backs on to a rail station where quite intrusive noise starts around 6am and carries on until nearly midnight - better with the windows closed but then the room got stuffy and hot.

Think twice before stopping there
I stayed at the beresford hotel on Sunday night. The room was so far away from the foyer. The bath had hairs in it. Wasn't impressed with the hotel at all

The staff at the hotel are so friendly and couldn’t have been anymore helpful. Breakfast was lovely! The room was quite basic, and the picture showing the front of the hotel on websites is somewhat misleading..! The view we had from our room was of a brick wall and what can be described as a dumping/storage space, with bins, tools, broken chair etc. Also, the window would not stay open - it sprung back on itself, not sure if a catch was broken? Little bit of improvisation to hold the window open with a coat hanger! And the room was unbearably hot - however, reception did provide us with a fan when requested. Overall, quite disappointed especially with the price we paid for two nights.

Honest opinion.
Location was great, near bus station, and quiet. Walking distance to major areas was good. Building was too hot, and you couldn't open the windows fully because of the pigeons!!! Breakfast was sufficient could add some more selection. Reception was great and helpful, would stay again.
