Good Location but Tired Looking
While the location was good the hotel was rather tired. Only stayed for 2 nights but would not stay for a longer trip.

Lovely staff - just a couple of issues
Staff were wonderful every moment. Breakfast whilst cooked okay was cheap ingredients. Hold on card still not released despite being advised this would happen as soon as we checked out.

The long way round
When I checked in I was told my room was on the first floor so take the lift on the right and follow the signs to room 535. I was not told the room was along 6 corridors down 3 sets of steps up 3 sets of steps and down a long flight of stairs. Not an easy task for a 66 year old with suitcases. When asked I was told there was no help available. Bearing in mind that this was also the only way out. Apart from that the hotel was comfortable although the promised wide range of tv programmes was non-existent as there was no picture at all.

Great breakfast, staff, and location
Great location next to the Luas and Busáras for tram and bus services. The staff were great and the breakfast was really good for the money. The hotel has a bar and the barman was very helpful, even though it was busy with world cup match he coped with ease; brilliant. There can be a wee bit of noise from trains and the dart out of Connolly station in the morning but it ain't a major issue unless your very picky; and if you want it dead quiet then Dublin probably ain't the place for you to go. We had to catch the early boat from ferry port; the staff did an early morning call and arranged a taxi for us. It is always better to use a taxi as the buses ain't that good first thing in the morning.

Great location / shame about the noise
The location was great for getting around but the local area is a bit run down and the hotel backs on to a rail station where quite intrusive noise starts around 6am and carries on until nearly midnight - better with the windows closed but then the room got stuffy and hot.
