Superior Penthouse is whole top floor in a former house. It is unclear what comprises this hotel or what is an association of a number of adjacent businesses which share facilities. The SP is visually stunning - completely under-described on their web site. A slope and lots of steps to get there, but WOW when you do. with wonderful views from the huge balcony - 2 settees and 2 sun beds). The inside is almost completely open plan and the wooden rafters and roof finishes give it a very lofty feel. 2 huge 4-poster beds with mosquito netting, settee and chaise lounge, double vanity unit, kitchen area, huge shower with 2 glass walls (fun but no privacy) wc, lcd tv, drawers and cupboards, safe. 2 x aircon unit (bit noisy but have remote controls). External wall to patio is half glass and half original louvered doors with central hinges (hence this room is not sealed against mossies or the heat). The architect has tried to keep as much original structure as possible and to do that this floor is virtually open plan with all the facilities in the middle so you gain access by walking around the perimeter. On the first night it took me 15 minutes to switch off all the lights and aircon! Infinity pool with weird access making it unsafe for older people, but in October we had exclusive access. Breakfast was at Havana Club over the road. Also had access to beach and another infinity pool over the road at Bacolet Beach Club.

Ok hotel
The hotel is quite nice. Lots of trees and green, birds singing in the morning, etc. The room was spacious and nicely featured. On the downside, I found the service not particularly charming; not a smile or a "welcome" upon arrival. You know, the kind of things one would like to know when arriving (internet password, etc.). I also found an open bottle of soap in the shower, half used, which was a pretty disgusting surprise (sorry to say). So, overall my stay was OK. Not terrible, not wonderful. Also, the location is ok only if you want to visit Tobago's capital; I had not realized that, and had to catch a cab (back and forth) from the beaches in the northern part of the island (which means roughly 30 min ride and some 15 USD per trip). Again, I think this is a nice hotel overall, although they may need to work a bit more on the quality of details and service delivery.

The original hotel was under renovation so they up graded us to the other hotel which was good but due to heavy rains we were out of water. We found the restaurant a bit too expensive and they don't show case their local cuisine.

Very relaxing environment enveloped with greenery
Exceptional stay. We were upgraded to Superior penthouse which was double the size of the junior penthouse which we booked. Beautiful landscaped grounds, upper pool was adjacent but not busy since upper area has only 9 rooms. Walked down to ocean, private beach area for Bacolet Beach Club(lower rooms), which is part of Half Moon Blue(upper rooms). Breakfast was included. Good selection, bacon (or sausage) and eggs every day plus a different local entrée each day of the week. Staff were great at the hotel and in the restaurant. All our needs were filled. A great, relaxing stay!

Not a happy camper!
the balconies were not clean and the walkways were also not clean. One had to go across the street for meals. I would not select this place again.
