We decided to stay at the Shangri- La as we wanted a hotel in the centre of Dubai, near to the metro station. This holiday was my mothers first time in Dubai (she's 87 years old) and my sixth visit. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a suite which was beyond amazing. As my mother had celebrated her birthday a few days before, we were greeted by a lovely birthday cake in our suite. The Horizon Club staff, including Nandini who checked us in, made us feel extremely welcome and would greet us by our name every morning. The staff and chef in The Horizon Club restaurant were also excellent and remembered our order from the previous day when we couldn't remember all the items. I used the pool, hot tub and gym a few times on level 42 and found the area, clean and inviting with several beds to relax after a swim. The view from the observation area on level 42 will amaze you, particularly at night, and I managed to take some great timelapse video's. We are already planning our next trip to Dubai next year, and if all goes well, we will be back, staying at The Shangri - La. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and mum and I highly recommend this hotel.

Spotless someone always cleaning and polishing. Staff friendly and some even remember what you like! Got upgraded on arrival to a beautiful room and although I arrived 4 hours early allowed us to check in early. I would definitely use this hotel when next I visit

This hotel pleasantly surprised us, exceeded beyond expectations. Customer service was of high level. We went as a family with small children, everything was provided and rooms were always made to perfection. Fresh fruit was always provided daily. Unfortunately we had an incident (not at the hotel) with 1 of our children and the staff went beyond their duty of care to show compassion. A very big hearty thank you from us all. My children are already missing you guys and the hotel.

Excellent hotel with staff that really showed an interest in looking after you. On check in Khin arranged an excellent room for us with amazing view of the Burj Khalifa. There's an even better view up on the 42nd floor. We had breakfast included with our room which was very tasty, particularly the made to order eggs benedict. Location wise, the hotel is close to Dubai Mall, the Burj Khalifa and about 20-30mins by taxi to the airport so easy to get around by taxi and walkable to the metro. Unfortunately I fell ill with a stomach bug on my 2nd day but wanted to mention how excellent the staff were in looking after us. A hotel on call doctor got me back on my feet in 24hrs and Suresh was just brilliant keeping our room refreshed and making everything available to us that we needed. He was also just a really nice guy and showed interest that we were happy. I've been to many hotels around the world and rarely see such hard work and effort from the staff. Thanks Suresh!
