Worst hotel experience ever!
I’ve been to 80 countries. Le Meridien hotels are always good. I booked Le Meridien Wien due to proximity to Musikverien concert hall, as I had booked VIP package with Opus restaurant starting at 6pm. This was a birthday present for my mother. I arrived right after 3pm and explained the importance of getting the room on time to get ready. I was told they made a mistake and allowed previous guests to stay until 3pm and my room will be ready in 20 mins. I was offered a free “prosecco” from a NOT very nice checkin person. Her english was not good. I always appreciate the effort locals make to speak a language they are obviously not fluent on. It’s the presentation by the hotel to guests. Well, she literally started screaming at me why I did not understand “prosecco” meant I can order any drink! Then she continued with the WORST ATTITUDE EVER from any hotel service staff. TBH, she should be fired as this job is really not for her. She tells me to wait at the bar. She NEVER showed up to give me an update for more than 1 hour. I tried talking to another check in person. Another endless wait. The bell boy had an even worse attitude. He tells me very rudely I don’t need a ticket for the luggage he is taking to storage and lost. The only person who helped was Anna who got us a room at 5pm. Room floor is nasty. Probably semen. Next day after complaint I find a “new” opened courtesy water bottle in my room. Elevators sound scary. Nightmare hotel. Stay away!
