For a few quid more, book next door
Not great. For a few pounds more, book next door! Worn out, blocked drain in the room. Sent around the hotel by security to fond an iron when they were all in reception. Not for business! Why on earth do the sheets not fit the bed?

Not overly impressed
For what we paid, could of been better over 300 for 2 nights and what we expected to be a 3 star hotel, the room and bathroom where not clean visible dust and mould and most things did not work. The lock to the door wasn’t working properly and when we reported it not working we where told it was an old door so not to worry but it did mean we where uneasy overnight.

OK for a single night
Comfortable bed, excellent shower, working TV. Tired decor and furnishings, decent value for money. Breakfast was awful. Cooked to order so expected better but took ages to arrive and when it arrived the order was wrong and the items dried up and unappealing. Nice pastries, horrible coffee, decent orange juice, not a massive selection. Adequate but below average quality of food for breakfast. Accommodation fine and it's OK for a single bed for the night but not a place to stay for longer and not a hotel you'd want to spend a lot of time in. Location great for SECC and handy for train service into city centre. If you can afford it, they Village across the Bells Bridge is much better.

All in I had a good stay. The hotel is not the most modern in the area, but very reasonably priced, in a good location. Some elements of the room seemed run down and could Benefit from and uplift, but in saying that I would have no hesitation in staying again.

A welcoming hotel
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming (on reception and in the restaurant/bar). I enjoyed the breakfasts and also enjoyed the evening meals I had in the hotel restaurant.
