The building needs remodeling.
Although we've been impressed with the Wingate by Wyndham brand, this particular hotel is old and run down. There is rust everywhere from our room to the swimming pool area. The building needs to be remodeled.

Cold pool and cold room, unavoidable...
When we checked in at 4 I asked the pool times...when we made it to the pool it was ice cold. The hot tub was bathwater warm. I asked why it was so cold, the manager didnt have anything on (filters, to circulate the water) I doubt there is a heater for the pool. And once we froze trying to swim. We went back to the room and we turned the heat up to 72 upon checking in. It was still at 69 3 hours later....I had to go ask yet again and he had to come up and turn the hot water heater on in the room so that it would heat up because they run off the same system. Sorry but most of this was avoidable for a good stay if the manager had paid attention to things. If you check someone into a room, be sure the heat is on when outside temps are going low at night. If its the weekend, lots of possibilities that people want to swim. Be sure the pool is functioning properly.

Clean and comfortable
Some damage to the elevator floor. The lobby and the room were nicely decorated and clean. We were first put in a room that wouldn't cool below 84 degrees and had a broken drawer. The staff quickly found us a second room that cooled fine. The sound on the tv was not synced correctly to the screen. We did not ask them to fix it, but staff were very responsive to other concerns and I am sure would have tried to make it right. Breakfast was well organized and there was plenty of variety. Overall clean and comfortable.

Nice clean place to stay
Nice hotel for our overnight stay. Room was roomy and included a love seat. Breakfast was good and was served by an employee so guests are not handling the utensils, etc. we would stay here again.
