Tourist Trap
Very disappointing for the money - breakfast was poor (limited choice). Very much a tourist trap.

Most enjoyable.
Enjoyed the stay. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly - much appreciated. You use your door key to operate the lift and I thought that was a good idea for security purposes. Two things: a handrail on the two steps to the bar would be helpful for creaky knees and poor eyesight and, secondly, being forewarned that only credit/debit card payments are taken, no cash - this is prevalent in Edinburgh. I would go again.

Lovely Hotel
My family and I had a lovely time at Edinburgh staying in this hotel. We had a room with the street view also with a sneak peal of the Castle which I thought was nice . It was close to the city center making it easy for us to go places without having to take taxis or buses. It was Alonso close to many restaurants just in case you want to grab something quickly. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the pool was not supervised at all, I think it’s dangerous and at least a camera should placed there. Overall, was a lovely place.

Not worth
Location is not very convenience (distance to town Centre). Toilet is separated with shower and sink. Room is small and hot. The hair dryer is not powerful enough. The room fare is expensive. The only good thing is the bed is very comfortable.

No better than budget
Hotel isn’t really much of an upgrade on your average budget hotel. We had a premium room at £300 a night and it was anything but premium. Bedside sockets didn’t work, shower was blocked. Save yourself the money and book a Premier Inn
