Convenient for Yosemite National Park
We used AMTRAK service from LA and as the YARTS bus stop was at Cedar Lodge which made it easy to get to the hotel and access Yosemite National Park. The restaurant at Cedar Lodge was only adequate.

Nice room and pool, good location.
Really nice room, huge bed and huge Spa tub for relaxing. Very good size room and lovely comfortable bed. The pool area was really nice and clean and there is an inside pool too. The location was good for Yosemite entrance. Some of the staff were unfriendly but not unpleasant and others were very nice. The restaurant was closed one night we were there so we had to go to the shop which wasn't good. Would stay again.

Average
Stayed here for 3 nights in September for its proximity to Yosemite. The room: The room was comfortable and large, with a separate seating area and a fridge. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was in need of some TLC with peeling walls and ceiling and towels appeared a little grubby. You have to pay $9.99 for 24 hours of wifi (for the price you pay to stay here I feel this could be included just like in every other hotel.) the wifi is very slow and temperamental and will sometimes cut out, but for basic browsing and sending messages it works just fine. It's in the middle of nowhere with no mobile phone service so it's not surprising the wifi is slow. The hotel: The hotel has 2 pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor pool is a good space with several loungers and tables/chairs which is great after a long day of hiking. The heated indoor pool was lovely and there was also an indoor jacuzzi although this was scalding hot and you weren't able to stay in there for long. There is a little grocery store in reception with the basics, and if you need more supplies then there is a large grocery store in Yosemite park and also attached to the gas station about 6 miles up the road. Onsite there is a bar and grill and a restaurant. The bar & grill and restaurant serve the exact the same menu for $1 more because you have table service. The food is ok but it's not an extensive menu so prepare to eat the same thing each night. Overall it's clean and comfortable.
