Excellent location, decent hotel
Nice enough place, really good location. No coffee machine in the rooms though, have to go downstairs and pay for coffee at the bar/coffee shop. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Pick an 'above ground' room.
This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. It teaches you to read the small print - a cabin room has no windows - which I read in looking back...what it doesn't say is 'it is in the basement'. The last time we were above ground and the window looked into the atrium of the hotel. My wife affectionately referred to the room as the 'bat cave' - draw from that what you will - the hotel was fully booked & I couldn't upgrade. It is one of the few hotels I have stayed in (I stay in quite a few each year) where the staff at the desk don't acknowledge you as you pass. I did, however, need some assistance with printing something and some advice for travelling to a concert - which they provided well and efficiently. Parking - $34 per day - with NO in/out privileges - which is why I didn't just drive to the concert as it would have cost an extra $34 for taking the car out and putting it back in (this could be an issue depending on your itinerary). The location of the hotel is excellent - steps from Quincy's Market - this and being 'affordable' for Boston made it worth the return visit.

Hotel very good for Freedom Trail sights
The Cafe/Bar facility attached to the Hotel was excellent - you could have a breakfast from 7 am or so at very reasonable prices.
