Crowne Plaza London - The City

Excellent Hotel, Excellent position. Excellent restaurants. So easy for the tube, or a walk along the embankment. 15 minute walk to the heart of theatre land. Very hard to fault.

Very clean and comfortable room bed good little touches very good is pillow spray toiletries, tea coffee etc tv lot of channels, breakfast lovely, lots of choices pots of tea, coffee rather than cups Toilet didn’t flush toilet paper to well in room 417 which was a bit worrying

We only stayed one night but it was a great experience, staff were so helpful & genuine.I would definitely book again

So initially when booking this hotel, I was looking forward to my stay, it was for a birthday, which I had actually called the central reservations desk to advise, and they assured me they had contacted the hotel to make them aware, so something special could be done,on arriving the hotel was unaware of this request and stated they received no notification, you would think they would offer to do something now that I have told them it was for a birthday, but nothing, also placed us in a room next to a staircase where there was constant noise throughout the night, and to top it all off, charged me twice, once through hotels.com and then crowne plaza decided to take another £156, on asking why this had happened, they claim it’s a security measure incase the initial payment had failed! For one, when arriving at the hotel they had told me the room had been paid for already and if you were going to take another payment? Make me aware! Instead of just taking it! And then telling me I would have to wait 3-5 working days for a refund which was no fault of mine!! not happy at all
