Night at the village
Hotel appears to prefer you checkin yourself which was fine and easy to do. Only one person was around the checkin area, but also handles storing of luggage etc so at times wasnt around, and you have to wait your turn if you have a question. We had them book a taxi which did happen, but we werent informed. Trying to get a drink at the bar took forever with staff appearing inneficient whilst there were others standing around. Wasnt happy to be told to walk to the other side of the bar to pay (and that was with cash) because that was where that persons till was, then walk back to where the drinks were to be poured. The serving person then poured white wine into glasses straight out of the glass washer so they were nice and hot !! Bar seating area is pretty large and could be noisey if sport was showing on the large screens. That could impact on the reception area as it was wide open. Room very large with everything we wanted. Had you been staying a wek, I'm not so sure the open wadrobe rail and draws would have been 100% suitable. There is a large car park but was very busy when we arrived Friday afternoon, when going out and returning Friday night, and again on Saturday morning. Only if you are in the club rooms can you use the Pool/Gym, otherwise its £5 per day. WiFi was free and very good. We would stay again.
