Friendly staff. I was charged 20 euros for having my dog with me; I was told for the extra cleaning???. The bathroom was cleaned well, lots of human hair in the bath.

The first room that we were offered was damp and it smelled badly ,the bathroom was filthy dirty . The second room was also damp and smelt not surprising as it was next door,the bed was unclean it had blood or human waste on the sheet the bathroom was no better it also had insects crawling up the wall. The third room was acceptable which was on the fourth floor but by this time we were ready to leave we had had enough of this but we had to stay it was to late to go any where else , needless to say we will never go to this chain of hotels again.

This is a comfortable enough hotel and advance info was helpful and prompt. However, received the most aggressive ‘welcome’ I’ve ever had on checking in. Abrupt and patronising (I asked if he could confirm prices for additions I had to make to our booking and received a huffy lecture). Not what we needed at 2am after a delayed flight. You can do better Mercure.
