Excellent hotel
Wonderful hotel and great location. The acropolis could be viewed from our balcony as well as the roof top garden.

Ideal location for the city buzz
Arion is a comfy hotel located at easy distance from the metro and the uptown shops. The rooms are adequate with my only niggle being that the bathroom is fronted by a glass panel and glass door which is not lockable. When closed, the glass door leaves a sizable gap which leaves no privacy to the person using the facility. It is also at the centre of a vibrant nightlife. So for some, the bass of the music from the club/pub next to Arion, can become an issue on the Friday night. The breakfast spread is more than adequate and starts at 7 which is good to get and early start and beat queues at the tourists attractions. Point to note: The roads to the hotel are amusingly narrow. A few taxis politely refused to drop us there due to the labyrinth of narrow roads to access the hotel. All in all Arion is a very recommendable hotel.

Perfect location in this wonderful, vibrant city
After the initial shock of so much graffiti we thoroughly enjoyed the area. A great plus mixing with many locals.

Nice hotel
Very nice stay in a hotel where all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Should we return to Athens this is definitely where we will stay again.

Very central convenient place to stay
Hotel was less than a 10 minute walk from the Monastiraki metro, which is on the same line as the airport, making the transfer extremely easy. The area could not have been more convenient. The Acropolis, Panathenaic stadium, Mount Lycabettus, Plaka, all the major attractions were walkable from the hotel. Athens itself does have a lot of graffiti,so don't let that deter you from the hotel location. It is very safe to walk around, and especially lively at night when all of the local restaurants become a hive of activity with the smell of grilled meat and live music. The hotel itself was clean and basic. Wifi was free, as was breakfast, a nice touch as most high end hotels charge extra for both. Our room had a partial view of the Acropolis but no view of the Acropolis. Not a problem tho as there are plenty of roof top bars/restaurants in the area that offered a spectacular view. My only quibble about the stay were the beds. We booked a double, but it was two singles pushed together. Not the best when you're away for a romantic break! The beds were also extremely hard and uncomfortable. After our three night stay, we were happy to return home to our soft kingsize bed! Overall, the Arion was a lovely hotel and would definitely book again if we return to Athens.
