Nice hotel but some rooms have blackout windows
Make sure to choose a room without blackout windows

When I arrived at the check in desk, I saw that a western gentleman was making a complaint to the check in staff next to me. I couldn't quite work out what the complaint was about, until they served me. Apparently, even if you had "requested" a double bed, the hotel would only give it to you subject to availability. I understand that it was written in the small prints on the website, but they should really let you know in advance if it wasn't available and not until you get there, and for them to tell you that you have to have a room with two single beds instead. Anyway, I was then told that a couple had just checked out of a double bed room, so I was asked to wait for about an hour whilst the cleaned up the room - which was fine, I wasn't in a hurry. When I got to the room, it was clean and tidy. The view across to the racecourse was brilliant. However, I had opt for the Premier Room with a bath tub - which this room did not have, it was only a shower room. I was then told that this room was actually an upgrade to what I had booked. Anyway, this room was a connecting room, and quite often we had people in the other room trying to open the door (??) and making a lot of noise. The walls and door was so thin that I could hear everything that was going on (I'm guessing the couple next door was having an EXTREMELY romantic night in). It was a pleasant stay overall, but I would probably try somewhere else next time.

Breakfast was very expensive and not good value. Room was designed for twin beds but had 2 queen sized beds - very tight for space and difficult to open wardrobe door

enjoyable stay
Nice hotel that has been recently refurbished. Wanchai station is within walking distance. Stayed in a very comfy suite overlooking the race course. Next time I will book one of the Sony Suite as I'm sure it will impress me just as much as the Osim suite impressed me. Free water bottles being delivered everyday and also had some fresh fruits delivered one day. One very helpful feature is the smart phone in your room that you can use in and out of the hotel; very handy to use as an internet hotspot and help you navigate in the city. Definitely a VERY GOOD idea from the hotel. The only inconvenient is that places to eat are a bit further away. I definitely recommend this hotel.
